Hi! I’m Claire, and I’m a UVA student working in Southport for the summer. I love dogs, and am so excited to care for yours like they’re my own! My pet care experience is extensive; I’ve worked with Rover for a year, and have been a dog walker and petsitter in my own community since I was in high school. I am willing to take care of dogs of all sizes and energy levels! I have some experience with senior dogs and administering medicine orally, and can administer medicine to your pets if necessary. The services I offer are detailed below! Feel free to inquire about my services, or make specific requests! Dog Walking - I can take your dog on early morning, daytime, and/or nighttime walks around Southport! I provide walks of any duration or distance, and am happy to walk multiple dogs at once! I am more than happy to take a dog on multiple walks during the day; my dog at home is very high energy, so I’m very accustomed to providing multiple walks and playtime opportunities. I ask that you provide a leash and compatible collar or vest for your dog. Doggy bags are optional as I carry some with me! House Sitting - I’ll take care of your pets and house while you’re away, feeding them, taking them on plenty of walks, and spending quality time with them so that they don’t get lonely in your absence. I will ensure that your house is kept clean and in order as well so that you can come home to a house that was just as you left it. I take a lot of care in making sure that I don’t let your dog get into anything harmful (trash and human food will stay securely away from your pets)! My dog is infamous for eating things she shouldn’t, so I’m very attentive to potential hazards and keep them out of reach. Drop-In Visits - I will drop in during the day to check on your pets, letting them outside to use the restroom, feeding them, and spending some time with them to make sure they aren’t lonely.
