Dogs are angels with 4 legs and fur

Pet care experience

I have been a dog/house sitter for two dogs and one cat three days a week for the past 7 years for one family. I also do overnights for them, usually weekends and up to ten days while they go on vacation. I not only take care of everything the animals need, I tend to their home when they are away as well. I have also been sitting for my brother and sister-in-law for the past two years and they have two dogs and one cat also. I currently have one dog, a Pit Bull named Opie, and he is allowed to go with me each time so they can all play together. My dog and the animals in my life are my whole world. I am 35 years old and I am in school full time but I am currently taking all online classes this semester so that helps give me flexibility. I do not have any human children of my own and I lost the other half of my heart, my brindle Pit/mix named Jackson almost 2 years ago to cancer at a young age. Since then, everything I do is for my Opie and the other dogs in my life. Dogs love unconditionally, they don't care what you do for a living, they don't care if you wake up with messy hair and last nights make-up still caked on your face, they don't care if you drive a Bentley or a VW Bug, and they don't care if you've had a bad day because they are just there to make everything in your world a little brighter. Losing Jackson gave me a lot of clarity, I now see that the only things in life that matters are surrounding yourself with a few good friends, family, and a whole lot of dogs :-) That is when I'm happiest in life.

I am thrilled by the care that my dogs received by Cindy! She cared for my 2 dogs (and cat) like they were her own, even giving my older dog meds when she needed them for pain relief. She also cleaned up before she left! I highly recommend her!!!

Cindy is awesome! Listens to what you want for your dog. We related alot with how we raise our fur babies. I will use her anytime i need a sitter or just a potty break. Thanks Cindy!

Cindy did an outstanding job with our dogs! She took care of our boys as if we were at home the whole time. They were worn out after getting to play with her dog all weekend!

Cindy's dogs are her children. I have known her for years and she is by far the BEST pet owner I have ever seen in my life and has a huge love for animals. Her fur baby goes everywhere with her, is spoiled rotten and even has a birthday party every year. I have never seen a person love and care for an animal as she does. If you choose her to take care of your fur baby they will be given top notch care and treatment!

I have no breed preferences. My last dog was a Pit/mix and my dog I have now is a full blood Staffordshire Terrier. I have dealt with breed discrimination for the last 9 years with my two boys and to me, it is the most heartbreaking thing considering how loving these dogs really are. So I do not care if your dog is a poodle or a pit, pink or purple, I love them all.

A typical day

I have had a dog that loves car rides, and my current one who hates them. So I've been on both ends of the spectrum. If your dog loves riding in the car, we can go on many car rides. Walks in the park or in your subdivision. My current 4-legged child loves to swim, in anything! Pool, river, lake, anywhere he can get in and paddle away. If your dog likes to swim, I can provide any one of those options, with swim-jackets of course (I don't like calling them life-jackets, that sounds too serious). I like to play Frisbee but my child doesn't like to bring it back until AFTER he chews it up. Chasing tennis balls and playing with his bubble machines (he got two of them at his last birthday party, yes, I throw my dog birthday parties) are his favorite things to do at the park (besides just walk) so those would be normal activities for us to do, but I am up for anything. Three of the dogs I watch aren't too active so they like low key, short walks. The other one is a spitting image of my dog (minus the chewing Frisbees and bubble machines). I can sit and throw a tennis ball for hours for Chance and he will keep going until I make him stop. He is also a swimmer and is smaller than my dog so I have 2 sizes of swim-jackets.
