Your Pet is Like My Family.
Pet care experience
I have had dogs since I was a child. I keep my pets for life, and I currently have two small dogs and a cat. I'm good with pills and special needs. Your dog(s) can stay in my house. I worked at Cookeville Regional Medical Center for 15 years as a Department Director, and just think this would be a fun and helpful thing to do for people like me who care about their pets. If you have to leave town, wouldn't you rather have your pet treated like family in your or my home, and give yourself that peace of mind to enjoy your time away? That's the role I play. I also will take cherished pets to health facilities to visit owners if the facility allows it.
Reviews
Cindy felt like an old friend from the moment my dogs and I met. The four days that she watched and boarded my dogs, she provided many updates and photos and videos. I know she spent a lot of time with them, because they both slept 10 plus hours the first morning back with me. Cindy is a really kind soul. I will book with her in the future.
Cindy was AMAZING. Took care of my dogs as if they were her own. She also eased my mind sending LOTS of pictures and updates. I’d recommend her to anyone!
Cindy is the best! Roscoe is a very anxious black lab but she made him feel like he was home. She communicates well and sends pictures often. First time we’ve left Roscoe and didn’t worry one time about him. She’s the best! Thank you Cindy!
Cindy was great with Jedediah!

I have a large fenced enclosure, a medium sized crate and always walk guest dogs on a leash. I have no children/granchildren, so no distractions. I live on a dead-end street, so little traffic. There are plenty of places to walk.

Information Cindy N. would like to know about your pet
I have a checklist I like to use when we first meet to gather all the information, I need to best care for your pet(s). For example: Allowed on furniture? Any special needs? Afraid of storms or loud noises? Separation anxiety or destructive if left alone? Special feeding instructions? Types of toys that you don't want them to have (many can't have stuffed toys because of pulling out the stuffing). Etc...
A typical day
I usuallly get up by 6 a.m. and immediately let dogs into the outside pen to go poddy. Take morning walk a little later (usually after they eat). Take another walk mid-day to afternoon. Then after they eat again, another walk. I try to get them to go poddy before bed. My neighbor allows me to utilize his super long paved driveway. It is like a park. Also walk up and down street, Nice walk up to dead end. Depending on what guest dogs like to do, we play, practice tricks, can ride with me if good in car when I just need to run short errand, etc. For dogs who like water, I have been known to take them to swim at the lake only about 1 mile away by road. I live where I have a view of Center Hill Lake. I usually send a lot of pictures during the stay.

Availability
I'm retired so I'm usually home to take care of all pets except for a few times I have to go to town, on-site firefighter training, or have to answer a fire call in my area. (Volunteer firefighter)
