Why I love dog sitting I have had a dog in my life since I was a kid growing up in Hawaii. After coming to mainland, I adopted Kahlua as a puppy from a litter on the steps of my college's student union. We believe he was a cockapoo/border collie. He moved with us to Seattle and lived for 17 years. Loved car trips. Within 1 year of his passing, my dental hygienist fell in love with a karate teacher in Hawaii and we adopted Cody who was 2 years old. He was a husky sheltie. During his happy life of 15 years, he helped raise our daughter who was also 2 when he joined our family. Within a year of Cody's passing, we adopted Kira who was a rescue dog found wandering the streets of Kennewick. She was very scared and must have had a tough life, but within a couple of months, she was truly part of the family. She is about 9 years old now. She loves playing with other dogs, and used to having them as guests. Meet my pets Border collie/lab mixed female dog. Very friendly. About my yard We have a large backyard, which is fenced all around. It is mainly grass with a patio in the middle. There is lots of shade too.
