Pet care experience
March, 2024 “Cindy was wonderful! We lucked out that she was available to care for our dog, Percy, when we were going out-of-town. She is obviously a total animal person, and has a very kind energy about her. Cindy stayed at our home for a week and we were kept up-to-date with texts and photos of Percy daily. When we returned home, Percy was his usual self—calm and happy!—a sure sign that he got a ton of love and human attention while we were away. Wauwatosa, WI I've been taking care of assorted animals in all capacity since the age of eight. Animals seem to trust me. While I tenderly cater to every dog or cat's individual needs, I am especially good with dogs/cats who have separation anxiety and who are overall, anxious and/or super-sensitive. I'm a dependable, loving dog whisperer. I have had every size dog around, from huge to teacup and up to 3 at a time. Except for one, my dogs have all been rescues with socialization barking, house-breaking and leash training needed. Ultimately I ended up with truly wonderful, loving and loyal dogs, as I have now. When I say I'm an "reincarnated dog here", I'm somewhat serious as dogs seem to "know" me and will pick me out of a crowd to greet me. I'm able to read dogs and know when to approach and when to back off. I have taken care of family and friend's dogs over the years and understand how dogs differ in care and needs. Bottomline? Cindy was wonderful and my fur babies loved her! She was great about keeping me updated on how the girls were doing and sending me pictures on how happy they were while she was taking great care of them. I highly recommend Cindy as she provides top notch care and love while you are away.
Cindy is great with Bear. Cindy gives us updates throughout her stay. We can relax when we are away because Bear is well taken care of.
Cindy did an awesome job taking care of Fiona for an extended weekend. Fiona went on lots of walks and excursions with Cindy. I can't say enough good things about Cindy's care. Also...the house was spotless! We will use her again. Thanks Cindy!

I have a boxed in backyard with lots of room for pooping and peeing. My non-smoking home is animal-happy and safe. And I can crate dogs per their owner's request. As far as a client's home, it goes without saying that I would follow the client's wishes to a tee. One of my dogs is blind and mostly deaf, meaning I am also good with special needs dogs. Yet it doesn't matter which service I provide, it's not about me. It's about the dog(s) and it's owner(s) and meeting their needs in the best possible ways. And no owner or dog or situation are alike so flexibility, patience and listening are important. Much like parents and kids.

Reaction to people in general-does he/she like people/strangers? Reaction around other animals, dogs, cats, squirrels? Reaction around loud noises, children running or playing or approaching? Do they bite if afraid? Can the dog be trusted around other animals if brought to the house? Is the dog house broken? Does the dog have an special tricks, traits, needs that I need to be aware? On a scale of 1-10, how energetic is your dog?
A typical day
First off, I'll do or not do whatever the owner asks me to do! I live near walking paths and Hart Park-great areas for dog walking and smelling. My neighborhood offers a lot of diverse geography-hills, creek, flat. It's a dog loving area.

I have my own PT business so my hours are my own and very flexible, given notice. I'm known for my calm personality and am good in a crisis. I have a great deal of compassion-and patience-for animals. And a zany sense of humor!
