I am a very active person that runs five days a week and enjoys being outdoors. I grew up with an uncle who trained dogs for a living. He showed me how amazing dogs are. To this day, he still sends me pictures of dogs on a daily basis. I truly learned how special dogs are after I had the privilege of being visited by a therapy dog. I experienced something very traumatic and my boss knew that I was having a difficult time adjusting to normal life again. She had a therapy dog visit my office and that is when I truly learned how special dogs can be. I have had a few more encounters with therapy dogs and each time has been very special.
