Mixed feeling toward this sitter. I would recommend if you have boarded your pup with her in the past or know her in advance. Was visiting SD for wedding and need someone who watch my dog for 4-5 hours. I’ve used Rover for multiple times for one time sit and it was a short time of period so I didn’t think it’d be difficult. Upon our arrival, the sitter says she wasn’t sure if she could watch him as he was too much excited. I didn’t have any other options as the wedding was about to start. The sitter kept saying she wasn’t sure and said we didn’t do meet & greet ( which she didn’t ask me at all) . She wanted to cancel it and wanted me to contact Rover to find an another sitter but Rover does not have that type of support. I was upset about the situation and about to miss the wedding. At the end, she agreed to watch my dog as he was getting settled in the place. I had never had this experience before. The sitters that I met through this app are usually very experienced and know how to manage a dog depending on the situation. My dog is an energetic dog and sometimes too excited especially when he’s at a new place. I see some sitters say crate trained dogs only as that’s what they can handle. I wish the sitter mentioned something like that on her ad. This is a lesson learned for me to continue using this app.
