I have been a pet sitter for about 11 years now. I have several families that I regularly pet sit for. I moved to Reno in 2018 and started graduate school working as a wildlife ecologist at UNR. I just graduated and may be moving away from Reno by mid-late summer of 2024. I love meeting new clients and getting to know you and your pet. Most of my clients had been with me for many years and they are like family. Due to graduation my house sitting hours have changed but I would still love to take care for your fur-babies if you have need of a sitter!

I typically only house sit in the client's home as I live further away from Reno than most and have a small yard with 2 dogs. I have a partner that watches my dogs anytime I house sit so that I don't have to go between homes. When I stay in a client's home I like to keep things as clean as possible so that little to no cleanup is needed from the client when they return. I'm happy to do short walks for the pet if needed when I house sit and can also water plants while you're away.

I have no breed preference, I firmly believe that the breed does not indicate a dog's personality or behavior. As a veterinary assistant I have seen many "gentle breeds" be aggressive and many "aggressive breeds" be the friendliest you'll ever meet. I always like to meet the dog before sitting for you, just to make sure that you and your pet are comfortable with me. It's always nice making sure all parties are comfortable with each other so that you have no worries while you are out of town or at work. For walks and home-visits I always like to know if they have any triggers (for example, if they don't like other animals or people, or maybe they like other people and animals too much). I will always go over your animals behavior and routines before the service starts.
A typical day
There are tons of trails all over Reno that allow pets! I can walk your babies in your desired location. If I do home visits while you are on vacation or out of town, I love taking dogs on walks and then having some play time or cuddle time in their comfy space.

Availability
I am working a temporary job. I work a temporary job that is different days each week from 9am-6:30pm. But I can stay over night if pets are ok being left alone for 10 hours on days that I work. I will always be honest with you if there are particular weeks that I have time constraints for and will discuss ways to work with your pets schedule ahead of time.
