I have worked at a local dog rescue as a kennel supervisor for over a year, with an average of 20-30 dogs under my care. This meant that I had to ensure all the dogs were walked, fed, had any necessary medication administered, and all areas of the centre were clean and safe for the dogs and people there. Through my work I did a canine first aid course. I have experience with a range of dogs from puppies to dogs with more advanced training, through helping out at training sessions for just under 12 months. I have also helped out with security dog training sessions. I currently study animal management and behaviour at university, which includes a training module and practical experience. I have previous experience of both dog sitting and dog walking. I completed 3 months work experience at a local vets which included observing operations and helping out with after care. I currently volunteer at a hydrotherapy centre for dogs and other small animals. Being a dog lover, I also have a dog of my own and I am passionate about working with dogs.
