Although my expertise and paid experience has been with children so far, I adore dogs have one myself (a lovable, three-year old Pit Bull mix). My sister's one-year old Chocolate Lab/Terrier mix, a rescue from the local shelter, also lives in my house. I'm very close to both of them so I get the bond that makes us humans worry about our dogs when we have to be away. I put my dog through basic obedience training when she was a puppy so we would develop a healthy relationship, but I don't have professional training or veterinary experience. I'm probably not the right fit for moderate to severe medical or social concerns. But for healthy dogs or mild special needs, I can provide basic care/companionship/walks in your absence. I work full-time in a public school during the school year, so I'm available for evenings, weekends, and holidays. For Cambridge dogs, I may also be able to do quick morning "drop-ins" before work, if needed. On a case-by-case basis, I'm also open to occasional overnights in your home.
