Pet care experience
Over the years I have pet-sat for many friends and neighbors. I'm an avid hiker and love getting my own personal daily walks in, so why not add a pup to the mix to make it that much better! As I am currently studying to be a marriage and family therapist at PSU my communication skills are very thorough. I worked as a Veterinary Assistant for a year in Juneau, Alaska. This helped me develop experience working closely with animals in a professional sense and allowed me the opportunity to expand my love and deep appreciation for my four legged friends. There is a possibility that my partner Scott might join me for a walk here and there, so please let me know if you mind :)

Christy was extremely accommodating and flexible for our dog-walking needs. I reached out to her with short notice for walks on some of the hottest days this summer and she was completely willing to adjust the walks around what was best for us and the dogs (especially with the heat!). I have one high energy Australian/Border Collie mix and one dog-aggressive Shiba Inu thatI knew she'd be great with as soon as we met her (she was a calming presence for them). I would trust her with our dogs anytime.

Christy went above and beyond with taking good care of my boys on their walk. She was on time and very accommodating with all my special instructions. I will definitely be using her again!
Christy is wonderful. She's trustworthy, flexible, intelligent and a true lover of animals. She's watched my dogs and cats and they adore her. My animals are my kids, so it's important to have someone that they like and will listen to while I'm away. I never have to worry when Christy is there. I recommend her x100!

I'd also love to know what your dog enjoys to do (e.g. visiting dog parks, longer hikes, swimming, fetch, etc.)
A typical day
I am really enjoying exploring Forest Park as well as visiting the dog park at Wallace Park. I am also quite content just exploring the NW neighborhood, if low key is what your pup needs. Fetch is always fun as well and I'm always up for practicing basic commands, too!
