Pet care experience
I've been watching dogs on Rover since 2015 and love all the people and dogs we've met. I manage our small business from my home office and homeschool my kids. Even with needing to run errands someone is almost always home and your dog will get lots of attention and love . We have one Yorkshire Terrier, Rosie, who is 7 years old. We have raised 6 litters of puppies and I grew up in a home that raised Yorkie puppies, so I am very familiar with the breed. However, we love and have experience with all sizes and breeds of dogs. We recently added a Golden Retriever named Maggie to our family in 2020. While we do not have a fenced yard, we do have a very large yard and will leash walk. We like to go on walks on the Perkiomen trail, a mile from our house, and we would love to take your dog along if that is something they would enjoy. We would feel privileged for you to consider us to watch your beloved pet. Why I love dog sitting: We got our first dog when I was 12 years old. She was a Yorkie and I loved her to pieces. We have only ever owned Yorkies, but we love all dogs and have had experience with many different breeds. Updated: we now have a Golden Retriever as of 2020. Meet my pets: We have 2 barn cats and chickens About my yard: Our yard is not fenced in, but we have a lot of space. Our property is 5 acres in all, but our immediate yard is about an acre of grass. The kids have a swing set and trampoline out back and we do have chickens in a fenced in area. There are two barn cats that roam around the property.
Reviews
Bailey had a wonderful stay. She received plenty of exercise and attention. I appreciated the daily updates and photos. I would highly recommend Christy and intend to book with her again.
No worries as always. Thanks Christy.
Christy has watched Brady twice for us and we could not be happier with the care and attention he receives. Christy makes sure that she communicates with us daily on his activities and well being. Highly recomend Christy.
Christy has watched our Goldendoodle 3 times now and she always takes great care of her. I would highly recommend Christy to anyone.

I have multiple baby gates up for safety and to prevent escapes. The dogs mostly stay in the large kitchen/dining area with us during the day and will come in the family with us in the evening to snuggle.

Information Christy L. would like to know about your pet
A very large, high energy dog would not be a good fit for us. We certainly can provide your dog with exercise, but because we do not have a fenced in yard if you dog needs to run a lot we can't provide that option. I'm sorry, but due to having young children and bad past experiences no pit bulls or Staffordshire terriers. We also tend to watch a lot of smaller dogs, so I would need to know that if you have a bigger dog they have been exposed to smaller dogs and are safe around them.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks We not only have a big property, but we live less than a mile from the Perkiomen Trail where we love to take walks and I'm sure your dog will too. We also love to go to Upper Salford park, a few miles from our home which is a beautiful park with lots of paved trails. Your dog's sleeping arrangement I'm sorry, but we can only take crate trained dogs at this time. We find the dogs do much better when they have a familiar place to sleep at night or when we are out of the house. Dogs who aren't crate trained have a harder time adjusting. Time I'll spend with your dog I am home every day. I will need to go out to run errands or drop my children at classes, but the longest I am away from home is 3-4 hours.
