Hello! My name is Christy. I'm the owner of a sweet 70lb. labrador/shepherd mix named Jelly. She's been my loyal companion for about 3 years now, and I've trained her for general obedience and off-leash skills. We've also recently adopted a German Shepherd/Australian Shepherd puppy named Skydog and are experiencing puppyhood to the fullest extent. :-) Before Jelly, I spent a few years volunteering for different pet shelters -- mostly the SPCA, which is where I found Jelly. I'm a confident handler -- I am not intimidated nor do I discriminate against any breed. Before accepting any new clients, I would like to meet first to be sure your dog and I are totally compatible. As a dog owner myself, your peace of mind is something I want to ensure just as much as the safety and comfort of your pup(s). This meeting would be no-strings-attached and (hopefully) anxiety-free for all of us. I don't want you to commit to working with me if you feel uncomfortable for any reason, nor would I want to accept a job where I don't feel as though I can give the proper care needed. I'm happy to work with any training regiment you are currently implementing while caring for your dog. I strive to maintain your dog's regular routine while you're away -- whether that be his/her favorite places to walk, command words you use, enforcing rules within the house, etc. I'm also super happy to watch any other kind of animal! I've personally had rats, hamsters, a cat, fish, and a snake in the past. I love all furry and scaly creatures alike. Reasoning for not including the Rover Protection Package: Basically the only thing this service offers in full access to their "Ask-A-Vet" service. I have my own trusted vet I can call (Dr. King at Elm Hill) and ask questions to, but all-in-all, I think you'd rather have me call your pet's vet clinic for any worries or emergencies.
