Pet care experience
I have been a dog lover all my life and have had a dog in the family since I was a child. I am now a stay at home mom and thought it would be great to offer my time and energy to people who have jobs that keep them away from their beloved pets for much of the day. I do have my own dog, Astrid, who is a beagle-black and tan hound mix. She is wonderful with other pets and would love to have companions throughout the day. When your dog stays with me for the day, we will take walks in my neighborhood and spend time relaxing on the couch. I am home all day from 7:30 am till 5 pm much of the week with the exception of taking my daughter for riding lessons on Tuesdays.

Before I sit for your dog, I need to know how he or she gets along with other pets and older children because I have a dog of my own and a 9 year old daughter. If you will be dropping your dog off for doggie daycare, I also need to know what your dog's typical feeding and potty schedule is and whether or not he or she enjoys car rides (this will determine the extent of activities we do throughout the day). I also prefer dogs who are crate trained in case I need to leave for a short period of time.
A typical day
We will go on walks in my neighborhood and may occasionally get in the car and go to a park or nature trail if your dog is okay with car rides.
