*Tips for owners!! 1) If booking walks or drop-in visits, consider scheduling 30min - 1hr before your ideal time as these services can sometimes run over. 2) My availability for walks & drop-ins will vary based on my proximity to a client’s home. I am able to service my entire work radius from about 6:30 am until 6:30 pm. Walking and drop-in services requested outside of this window are subject to modification or rejection if they stray too far outside of my neighborhood. Thanks :) Hi, I'm Chris 👋🏾 I'm a lifelong animal lover with over a decade of professional experience in animal shelters, boarding, and private sitting, as well as an ever-growing extensive knowledge of pet products, nutrition, and ethology. So far, my most valuable work experience has been my years spent at the Nashville Humane Association (Nashville, TN). With a 99% save-rate our priorities were simple: rescue, rehabilitation and return or rehoming of lost and abandoned animals. In addition to maintaining the facilities, I spent every day there performing behavioral assessments in order to create strategies for care and socialization. We were determined to give every animal that came to us another chance at a forever home. Because of this, I am comfortable and confident working with cats and dogs of all breeds and personalities and I am committed to providing a personalized care experience catered to your pet's unique needs. I am responsible, respectful, and I promise to spoil your furry family members while you're away. I never give treats or food that haven’t been provided or approved by the owner. I'm happy to stay overnight (when my schedule allows it) as well as dropping in for multiple visits during the day. I do great with young pups who love to play for hours, as well as senior dogs who might need special care, medication or just a more relaxed environment. Chris was just amazing! I booked him on a very last minute house sitting that I needed for my 15 year old senior dog. Chris took good care of my Max that needs help physically to walk, eat and drink water in hopes his new medication improves his physical state. He kept me updated on feeding and his meds via text message and included pictures and videos. Chris told me he was also available to talk over the phone as well. I highly recommend Chris and definitely feel safe knowing he’ll be in your home if he house sits with your favorite fur baby!

Christopher took wonderful care of our senior dog and was incredibly accommodating when our flight was delayed over 6 hours.
Everything was great! It was so good coming home knowing my babies were well taken care of while I was away.

Having a sound understanding of any medical needs is a must for me, as well as disclosure of any past incidents of aggression and possible triggers, so that I am able to keep my animals healthy and happy. In addition, I'd love to know what I can do to make them feel comfortable and calm if/when they start to get sad or anxious. I love all breeds, but have a soft spot for big cuddlers! :)
A typical day
If your dog is a social, park-loving one, Bixby Dog Park is just a 5 minute walk from my home and I frequent it with my pups. On the other hand, if your pup is more of a solitary explorer, We could just take a peaceful walk around the neighborhood or along the beach. I would love to know what your pet likes to do with you as well.

Availability
I am a full-time caretaker. Meaning, I work in animal care 30-40+ hours a week. A typical day for me usually consists of 1-3 daycare pups hosted in my home, with a few walks in my neighborhood scheduled throughout the day.
