Friend of the furry and four-legged

Pet care experience

I grew up in a house full of fur. In addition to having three beloved canines of our own (Buddy, Piper, and Sneakers; miss you guys!), my mom runs a foster service for shelter dogs, One Dog at a Time, where she rehabilitates them for weeks or months with love and attention until they're ready for a new family. Growing up, I learned the joys of canine companionship and had ample opportunities to practice my dog whispering. Today, I play the affectionate adoptive dad to my girlfriend's dog Enzo, and love him like my own :) I'm a music teacher with numerous free hours on weekdays to walk, pet, feed, and play, and I guarantee your beloved pet will receive all the kindness and attention that you'd show him or her yourself. Thank you for reading!

Chris is a kind-hearted, loving human being. He is sensitive and aware; both qualities that make him wonderful for people and pets to work with. He is a person who stands by his word and is there when you need him. Although I do not have a dog for Chris to care for, he is sweet and kind to all the dogs I see him come in contact with. If I did have a dog, I would absolutely trust Chris to love them as his own.

Chris is an upstanding citizen with a great attitude. He loves all animals and has been great with my cat. I would recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone needing pet care!

Chris has been my go-to dog sitter for about two years now - since he works from home a good part of the day, I can rely on Chris to let my dog out when I have to work longer days. He has a lifetime of experience having grown up with dogs; having met Chris' mother, who fosters rescues (often resulting in having a pack of 5-6 dogs at her house at one time), I also can attest to Chris coming from a background of caring, loving dog owners who know how to handle all kinds of dogs with gentleness. Chris is always willing to spend time just giving a dog skritchies and pets, and is an animal lover through and though. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and empathic caregiver for their furry friends.

Chris took great care of my dog for a weekend last winter. I think it was due to his kind soul that she took to him so quickly. I could tell when I returned that she was well cared for, because upon my return, she only gave me a partially excited hello, versus the typical "OH MY GOD WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN," that I am used to. Anyway I know Chris, and he is a great guy. Please let me know if I can answer any questions for you

Information Christopher B. would like to know about your pet

Please share any special dietary or medical needs with me in advance of a visit, and let me know if your dog is prone to anxiety or aggression in any particular situation. I hope to make your pet as happy and comfortable as possible during my time with them. I welcome any tips and information that will help me do that, including special toys, games, and activities, favorite rooms of the house, walk sites your dog finds comforting and familiar, and anything else an owner believes is relevant. I have no breed preference, I'm amenable to all kinds of dogs and cats. I've spent plenty of time helping to rehabilitate dogs of all breeds, some of which had been abused, so I've pretty much seen it all.

A typical day

Currently I walk dogs at Jamaica Pond, the Arnold Arboretum, and in Franklin Park, as well as the streets of Jamaica Plain and Forest Hills. I'm always open to suggestions, though! When you make me your sitter, your dog will enjoy catch, fetch, tug of war, plentiful back, body, and head scritchies, and more. If there's a specific game or activity that your pet will appreciate, I'm happy to oblige.
