Pet care experience
I have raised and rehomed many strays & litters of puppies & kittens; transport for & volunteered with shelters; I advocate for and cross post shelter animals almost daily and refer others to resources for spay/neuter & vet care. I have 2 dog, 2 kittens, and an outside cat plus the 3 feral cats I feed (shhhh! Don't tell my husband! lol) Pit bulls and bully breeds are probably my most favorite dogs because of the loyalty & love they show even after being abused and misunderstood. We even made the news with the adoption & rehoming of a dying serviceman's dog! One of my life's objectives is to help bring about legislation that requires mandatory spay & neutering so we can stop the senseless euthanization of homeless pets in Ga. due to irresponsible ownership and end the legality of a dog living on a chain. We are their voice and they are not "just a dog". They are family!

Christine is someone that would go the extra mile for any animal, hers or someone else's. She is the one everyone we know calls on for advice with sick, injured, strays, help with re-homing or just where to find resources or connections to help with any animal related problem or question. She volunteers for fostering or sometimes shelters themselves, networks for animals on death row, transports shelter animals to fostering over 2 hrs. away, networks for animals on death row in local shelters and tries to educate others about the effects of pet abandonment & euthanasia AND will call a county or state rep in a minute to bring light to an animal related issue or demand changes in current policy! And she loves bully breeds!

I need to know about any medical conditions, of course, and what their interaction style is with other animals. For instance, some dogs are curious about cats but have not been correctly socialized to understand how to initiate interactions without scaring a cat. Or, some puppies and dogs are curious and excitable when meeting another dog, which can be mistaken for aggression. Knowing your dog's personality makes it easier to anticipate problems. As mentioned before, I love bully breeds and they often need help being appropriately introduced to others in the community because of their stigma, with both animals and humans alike. I also love cats and have bottle fed many kittens.
A typical day
Since my stays or walks will be primarily in the owner's home, where we walk or socialize will depend on the area. I am often in Atlanta as that is where my daughter lives so I am available to sit or walk in the metro area, as well as in Covington/ Jackson/Conyers area. Dog-friendly car, so a ride for your furbaby is completely possible!
