Pet care experience
Hello, my name is Christine! I love caring for dogs, cats and other animals. I am part of the Southeastern Connecticut Petsitting Group. I have been doing overnight stays and daily visits for quite a long time, and enjoy making your pet feel as comfortable and safe as possible while you are away. I am a very active person and enjoy being able to give dogs the exercise they need, depending on their health, size and fitness. I work with dogs of all sizes and breeds. From little Cairn Terriers to Great Danes, and everything in between. Feel free to contact me! I believe that having dogs stay at their own home, provides a sense of comfort when their owners are away! I am happy to accommodate that. I also am happy to stop by during the day while you're at work so they can get out to use the bathroom and play! I am able to administer oral medication as needed, and feel comfortable caring for elderly dogs, or dogs that need a bit more supervision than your average pooch. Christine is a gem! Her care for animals is intuitive and her personality shines. Christine cared for my cats while i was on holiday in Canada, she stayed at my house and even watered my plants! She was recommended to me by my mother, who absolutely adored her, where she cared for her dog, cat, and chickens. Christine took care of my two cats and dogs for several months, and let me tell you I've never been more grateful to have a petsitter like her. My dogs listen to her, my cats will come when she calls...animals really love her, and she's got a knack for getting them to listen. As well as the requisite visits for feeding and walking, she'd spend the extra time to make sure they weren't lonely, and clean up after them. She's devoted, organized, and just a remarkable person overall. I'd recommend her to anybody.

What dogs and other creatures are on their walking route (where to go, where to avoid). If they are on any medications,and or have allergies. Food or otherwise. what are the rules of the household for them.
A typical day
I believe that attention to detail is incredibly important! my dog-sitting style is spending as much time with the dog(s) as I can. I want to make them feel comfortable. I love to talk to the owners and get to know the dog's usual routine so I am able to maintain it while they are under my care and supervision. I like to maintain training, and always ask if there are any particular things I should be aware about while watching their pets. When petsitting, I like to play all sorts of games with the dogs, outside or in. I always keep in close contact with the owners. As much as they wish. Sending texts and cute puppy pictures is always great! I think that having a dog stay where they are most comfortable is important. As opposed to having them stay at another location while the owners are gone. I also am able to upkeep any household duties, and believe that household security is important. I love dogs and treat them as i would my own. with love and care.
