I have been dog & cat (and chicken and hamster!!) sitting and dog walking since high school, for family friends, neighbors, and through word of mouth got to do it a lot! I grew up with a beagle, and a handful of cats and I love animals of all kinds. I can't own a dog now, so I love to dog sit and play house, taking care of them as if they were my own babies! I've cared for senior dogs, and had to give them multiple medications, multiple times a day. Same with puppies! Cats too! Recently switched from a house sitter to offering boarding in my home instead. I have 3 cats, all very chill and tolerating, they pretty much just keep their distance from my doggy friends.
