Pet care experience
I mainly do this because I really enjoy spending my time with animals/dogs. So this is more of a passionate hobby of mine, than it is a job : ) I have been with rover since 2016, and I have currently taken up a career with animals since 2020. I am currently working on my vet tech license, and have worked in a vet hospital as a nurse. So your fur baby is in good hands! I have experience with administering medications, cleaning ears, trimming nails, etc., and could even answer any medical questions you might have! I also have experience taking care of other animals besides cats and dogs, such as reptiles, birds, horses, rabbits, and rodents. I am always looking forward to my next appointment!

I would like to know what makes your pet happiest so that I can cater to that : ) I would also like to know their feeding schedule, how much food is to be given, what the limit on treats is, what they’re favorite toy is, where to toss litterbox waste, and who your veterinarian is just in case of emergencies. Also, I would like to be aware of anything particular that scares them so that I can avoid that (ex: plastic bags can scare some cats)
A typical day
I like to talk to my fur clients when I’m with them like they know what I’m saying lol. I am very good at picking up on the energy that an animal is sending out. Whether they just want to play with a toy, have belly rubs and snuggles, walking around the neighborhood, or just want to be fed and left alone (i will still stay the whole visit if they want to be left alone lol), I cater to what makes them happiest!

I work Monday-Friday, 7-3:30. I would have to go home and take care of my fur babies first, but I’m usually available starting at 5 PM during the week days : )
