I am a 48 year old who has been a stay at home mom, and now that I'm not needed by my kids that much, I would like to turn my love of animals into a career in pet sitting. Over the years I have raised a wide variety of pets including: rats, guinea pigs, cats, dogs, small lizards, hampsters, gerbils, and rabbits. I was a volunteer at a local shelter and decided to take my love of caring for animals into being a pet sitter and I worked for a pet sitting company. As my personal schedule changed I felt I needed to find a better work / life balance and decided working with rover would be a better fit. An example of a typical drop in experience: My responsibilities for a vacationing family were : take in mail, clean up after cat, feeding, litter, playtime, and watering the plants. She was a sweet kitty and every visit I would pet her and cuddle her. Pictures were sent to her family in the evenings after my visits. I also gave her one of the catnip stuffed toys that I make.
