HOME FULL-TIME, BIG FENCED YARD

Pet care experience

Hello, we hope you will take a moment to read our profile and get to know us! We are a dog-loving couple with a rescue of our own (a mellow 6 y/o Schnoodle, named Graycie) Jason and I love hosting dogs in our home for the day, overnight or longer (vacation) stays. We provide a safe, clean environment where you can leave your dog and not have to worry. Some key points of our home and sitting services: 1) WE ARE TWO ADULT DOG LOVERS WHO BOTH WORK FROM HOME, so your pup will get 100% attention and care x 2 people! 2) WE ONLY TAKE 1 DOG AT A TIME. Many dog sitters take in multiple animals but, if you are like us, and want your pup to be the SUPERSTAR, then a stay with us is the right choice. Your dog will not share space or attention with another (unknown) Client dog. 3) WE HAVE A BEAUTIFUL CLEAN SINGLE-STORY HOME IN HISTORIC IRVINGTON. Our restored 1920s bungalow sits on a quiet cul-de-sac, just off the popular Pennsy Trail. 3) WE HAVE A LARGE, CLEAN, FULL PRIVACY FENCED YARD. Dogs love our yard! We keep it very tidy and your dog will have tons of room to run and play, or find a great sunny spot for an afternoon nap. 4) DOG CPR AND FIRST AID CERTIFIED. Your pup's care is our #1 concern. I hope my being educated about dog behavior, dog safety and emergency care will provide peace of mind while you're away. 5) LOTS OF OUTDOOR/PLAY TIME. Because we have an ideal yard, we spend lots of time in it! Dogs love it and generally go home pretty tired from playing ball or chasing squirrels. 6) WE KEEP A CLEAN, ALLERGEN-FREE HOME. Our hardwood floors minimize allergens and eliminate pet odors. We provide a clean dog bed that is washed after EVERY dog use (you are welcome to bring your dog's favorite bed, blanket or crate.) Food and/or garbage is NEVER left out. Plenty of sunny snuggle spots and clean, fresh water is always available. 7) WE PROVIDE MULTIPLE DAILY UPDATES. You'll be getting wonderful photos and video from us during your dog's stay. We want you to see how happy s/he is and to not worry while you are away! 8) WE LAVISH DOGS WITH LOVE AND POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT AND ARE VERY MINDFUL OF THEIR PAST EXPERIENCES. This is worth mentioning because we dog sit many rescues (Graycie is a rescue too!), who may or may not have experienced abuse or neglect in the past. We want to help foster your pup's rehabilitation or adjustment, so please share your dog's story with us! While your pup is in our care, we will stick to their normal routine for feeding, potty and sleep. Though our dog does not use a crate, you are welcome to bring one if your dog does. We will always have a Meet & Greet first and address any special needs (physical, food, medication, etc.) your dog may have. Your dog's safety and happiness is our #1 concern, so please do not hesitate to tell us under what conditions s/he THRIVES! We are generally flexible about drop-off/pickup times: -DOGGIE DAYCARE IS UP TO 10 HOURS. For example, drop off at 8am, pick up before 6pm. -DOGGIE BOARDING IS ANY 10-24 HOUR PERIOD. For example, drop off at 9am Monday/pick up 9am Tuesday. If you can't pick up your dog until the following evening, you will be asked to add 1 day of daycare to your reservation (simply because it precludes me from boarding another dog for that day.) Thank for understanding as we try to be fair to everyone! Thanks for reading!

Homer always has a great time at Christine’s. We know he’s in good hands when we drop him off for an extended stay.

Christine is wonderful. My dog, Scrappy, had the time of his life during his stay. At the initial meet and greet I was immediately put at ease knowing that she would love and care for Scrappy as much as I do. She sent me texts with photos daily letting me know how Scrappy was doing and how their day was going. He and Graycie played in the back yard, making sure the squirrels knew who was in charge. I highly recommend Christine and will definitely book her again.

My Jack Russell, Max, was treated very well. He looked so much like himself when I got back to pick him. Other places I've been to other places and Max usually looked depressed. He was not depressed at all! Highly recommended!!

Christine is awesome! We did a meet and greet before scheduling and she was super accommodating and easy to work with. She communicated with me to make sure we had the drop off time all set up once the dates rolled around and made sure that both my dog, Attie, and I were totally comfortable before I left her for the long weekend. Attie had some skin issues (seasonal allergies) that popped up due to the hot weather while we were gone, and Christine went above and beyond to make sure Attie was comfortable and taken care of. Christine's house is lovely & they have an awesome, safe yard for the dogs to run in. Her dog, Gracie, was a sweetie, too! I highly recommend Christine!

Information Christine C. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know what a typical day is for your dog - waking up, eating, potty, activity, etc. Does your dog get along well with other dogs? Has your dog ever exhibited separation anxiety? Has your dog ever shown any aggressive behavior? Any special needs I can help with? Note: While we prefer dogs under 40 pounds, we definitely host mellower dogs over 40 lbs. Dogs should be spay or neutered. Dogs need to be up to date on all vaccinations. Dogs need to be house trained.

A typical day

ball chasing/catch, yard playtime, walks on the Pennsy Trail
