Pet care experience
Hi there..I'm Chrissi. I live in a happy home with my boyfriend Mark and our 13 month old German shepherd puppy, Luke. We love to play tug of war, hide and seek, and we love to go for walks and hikes. We live in an area where there are a lot of trails, a lot of woods and plenty of fun spots for pups to play. Some of our favorite locations are in Smithfield, Chepachet and Lincoln. We can even have just as much fun playing in our fenced in back yard if your pup isn't into all the walking and hiking or if they'd prefer to just relax in the house curled up in a ball and snuggly, that's great too. Luke is a very well trained young boy and he has a great respect for other dogs. He is especially submissive to the small fur babies. He definitely makes for a great leader for other young dogs. In addition to the protection included here on Rover, I am also insured through the pet sitters association for added peace of mind! Give us a call to set up a meet and greet..you won't be disappointed! :)

Oh my gosh, Chrissi was GREAT!!! I can't sing her praises enough. We had a last minute need for a sitter and didn't think it had a chance of working out, and Christine came through for us in a huge, stress-free way! We contacted her last minute and had an inconvenient time frame to work in and she got back to us right away letting us know it would be just fine. We ended up meeting up with her and she took our dog, Pepper, in her car, buckling her in safely first. I warned her that our small dog is sometimes a little frightened by larger dogs, but she assured me that Pepper would be safe. Pepper ended up getting along great with Chrissy's well-behaved, sweet, beautiful German shepherd puppy (and I have the pictures to prove it!). She sent us photos all night, letting us know our dog was settled in and having a great time. She was so sweet and thoughtful and positive. She's a gem!! My only regret is that she doesn't live closer to me (I'm in California...) and we can't use her as a sitter more often!!

I would like to know if your dog has any allergies, medication that need to be administered, or any other type of restrictions they may have prior to any commitments. You dog must not be dog aggressive and listen to command fairly well with others. No pets are allowed on the furniture, however I understand things happen. It's ok. If they get muddy paw prints on the couch, it's not the end of the world! I'm by no means a dog trainer but I tend to have a way with dogs where they understand me quickly. I have no breed preferences..it is not required that your pet be spayed or neutered, however theymust be up to date on their shots and not have any type of contagious illnesses that you are aware of.
A typical day
I am big on hikes through the woods..and going to the baseball park across from my home to play frisbee, fetch or just to let loose! (4 fields in one location) Your pooch will be on the go and kept busy the entire time he/she is in my presence. If you will be bringing pup to my home for in house visits then they must get along with other dogs, we will obviously meet prior to any commitments to ensure everyone gets along...also, during rides in my vehicle they will be safely strapped down with a K9 seatbelt so please ensure they have a harness available.
