Stay at home dog mom

Pet care experience

I absolutely love dogs and am looking to create a lifestyle brand, all things dog. This is starting with Rover! I am starting this journey with dog walking to meet some great pups and help give owners peace of mind while they are away from their pups, knowing they are in good hands. Having my own fur baby Buster, who I spend nearly all of my time with, I totally understand what it’s like being a pet parent and all of the concerns that come along with it! As of right now I am offering dog walking and drop ins. Living in an apartment with my own dog, I found dog sitting to be a little too challenging; there is just not enough space and having a group of regular walking clients now, I don’t feel I can dedicate the proper time and attention to house a pup in my home. I would be happy to drop in several times per day if you are away but I understand not wanting to leave your dog home alone that long as well! I will keep clients updated, should I start to offer dog sitting again in the future. With all of my clients, I require a meet and greet prior to accepting any requests. I do this for several reasons. First and foremost being, that I want to make sure your dog is comfortable with me. I know sometimes a stranger coming in, they may react differently, so I like to meet them beforehand, while the owner is home so they can associate me as “a friend” and know that I got mom or dad’s approval to take care of them. I also love to meet all of the owners and answer any questions they have, get familiar with the house, any special instructions, where things are kept, etc. Although I’ve been a long-time dog owner, my experience doesn’t just stop there. In the past, I have been a volunteer for Best Friends Animal Society and helped out at their adoption events. It was always great watching the pups transition into their forever families, and I learned a lot about proper care during that time as well. I’ve been working with dogs now for over 3 years, and I’ve loved every minute of it! I started out with dog sitting for just friends and family, but now I am pursuing "the doggie dream" full time. I have a flexible schedule to accommodate both clients who need me on a regular basis and those who got held up at work and may need that last minute walk. When I am not walking dogs, I am usually doing another dog centric activity; whether it be working on affiliate partnerships with dog bakeries, groomers, stores, etc. to continue to expand my brand, fundraising for a dog charity event, or just snuggling or playing with my pup Buster. During my visits I will give your pup my full attention, take LOTS of pictures, and write a short summary of our time together. I like to keep owners informed, especially if their dog's behavior was uncharacteristic that day, they got sick, or any other happenings. This is one of my highest values, as I think it is essential to building trust with my clients and providing them with the best experience possible. From time to time I may leave a little goody bag. My canine clients really enjoyed the Pumpkin chewies treat samples from The Pound Bakery. Their treats are on the Prized Pet website, you can check out their products, and use promo code busterbucks for 10% off. They use human grade natural ingredients and are super affordable which is a win win, woof woof! I will be continuing to partner with other dog companies as well to really build my brand and lead the pack! I’m looking forward to meeting you and your pup!

Jax fell in love with Christina when they first met and so did I. She was professional and sweet and caring. She made sure that Jax had everything needed before we went on a trip and sent us pictures for her visits. Definitely recommend her!

Christina is awesome. We were in a jam today and had to leave our pups early in the a.m. and after just meeting us yesterday Christina came to our rescue. Out girls were happy with her and we are looking forward to a great relationship moving forward

Christina is wonderful. She went the extra mile to help us feel comfortable, and most importantly, was amazing with our Leo. Christina sent great photos and was thorough in reporting how their time was together. We are happy we found someone so passionate about working with dogs as Chrisfina.

Information Christina P. would like to know about your pet

I love to know EVERYTHING there is to know about the dogs in my care so I will ask a lot of questions! I feel this is so important to be able to cater to individual needs and make your pup feel as comfortable as possible with me. Some of the information I'll always ask about are your dog's usual routine, any quirks/anxieties, their temperament with both people and other dogs, their personality (or more appropriately worded, dogality), any typical route they like to walk, etc. I am open to all breeds, from the Yorkie to the Saint Bernard, and all those in between. As long as your dog is comfortable with me, that's all that really matters!

A typical day

We will spend lots of time outside (weather permitting). I like to know about the neighborhood we are walking in, if there are other dogs that yours may or may not get along with so we can stay safe on our adventures! While inside we can play with toys or your dog can relax and enjoy a nice massage. I always provide doggie report cards with accompanying pictures so you can see how much fun we had together!
