I treat every pet like my own.

Pet care experience

I have either owned or cared for various types of animals ranging from horses & cows to ferrets & snakes. I have no problem and am very comfortable taking care of any type of pet that you have. I love animals and have a few of my own. I own one dog, Khaleesi, & five cats (Isis(the momma cat) & her kittens: Ninja, Arya, Cayden, & Gallagher). I also have 2 ferrets, Mila & Raksha, that have their own room and are kept away from the other animals because they are small and delicate. I have also volunteered as a horse handler at Horses and the Handicapped. I have worked as a pet sitter professionally for six years now, but I started watching other people's animals at 10 years old as favors when I was younger (I just worked for tips). My house is as much the animals house as it is ours. They are free to go wherever they want inside and outside the house, sleep on the bed, lounge on the couch, and play with all the toys. A typical day for me and my "furguests " varies depending on the services I was hired for. For example, if I am boarding a dog(s) for someone they will either give me a detailed itinerary on when to take out their pet, when to feed them, what toys or games they like to play, and what their sleeping preferences are, or they leave it all up to me. If I have free reign then a typical looks like this; we wake up and go for our first walk of the day, then we have breakfast (if the dog eats twice a day or if they eat once and its a morning feeding), then it's rest time so that we can all digest their food. After digesting it's inside playtime! After playtime it's time for the second walk of the day. Usually they are tuckered out and take a nap after that. Then after nap time it's time for the third walk of the day followed by a training session ( food or toy motivated, depending on the dogs motivations. I like to run the dogs through their training (sit, down, stay, paw, & etc.) because it is considered enrichment and "keeps the rust away". Then we take a small break and then it's outside playtime. After playtime it is dinner time but I always wait until they have "cooled down" because sometimes dogs will throw up or get an upset tummy if they eat so quickly after exercising. After dinner we take a small break for about one-two hours to let dinner digest and then we go for our final walk of the day (unless the dog has special needs and needs to go out more often). Then we sleep and the day repeats. Also, I try to find different ways to play with my "furguests". For example, if the dog(s) like(s) water I will take him/her to the lake. My entire day is dedicated to my pets and my "furguests". I love being surrounded by animals and receiving all that love. I would like to mention that for sitting in your home and for pick up/drop off service I am willing to travel up to 80 miles from my home. For the home visits and dog walking services I am willing to travel up to 50 miles from my home. However, I am willing to travel farther if there was compensation for the gas. I hope to hear from you and thank you for your consideration. I can't wait to meet you and your "furbaby(ies)". Have a wonderful day! PS. I have a list of references, former, & current clients who would be happy to speak with you and give me a good review. I am new to this site and because they haven't booked through the site they can't post a review here. I will be happy to give you the list upon request. I also perform other services that are not listed on here. I will bathe your pet for $20. Also, if your pet needs to go to the vet for a check up, has a grooming appointment, or needs to be taken somewhere; I will take them wherever they need to go. For a one-way trip it is $15 & round trip is $25. Also if you need transportation to a different city or even state I will do that as well: for that I would have to give a custom rate because I would need to calculate gas costs and how long the trip would be, how many stops to walk, feed, and etc.

I recently adopted my puppy. She had some training but no manners and would not go to the bathroom outside. After one stay with Christina she used the bathroom the next morning outside! Very good at keeping you updated on your pet.

Christina was a great host for our dog Luke! We made a last minute reservation for a holiday weekend and she was very accommodating and communicated quickly. Luke felt at home with Christina's dog and cats, and was well taken care of with his special food and meds. Thanks Christina!

Christina kept in touch with us on a daily basis during our 5 day vacation. She was very thorough in explaining any concerns she had with our pets and also had some remedies to cure some of the concerns. I would recommend her especially if your pet needs special attention. Great job!

Christina was amazing! We came to her at the very last minute on a holiday weekend with two dogs, one an stubborn sourpus and one a firecracker puppy who needed medication. She kept the pups happy and our home neat and clean. There were several challenges during the stay (we've never been away from them and probably didn't do the best job prepping the house) but Christina handled them all in stride. She kept us in the loop the whole time and was very patient with me even though I sometimes took several hours to respond to her posts. Christina really went the extra mile for our family and we will definitely go with her again in the future.
