Dogs are a student's best friend
Pet care experience
Before and during undergrad in New York, I walked, cares for, and trained dogs independently and through Rover. I am experienced in raising puppies, taking care or senior dogs, and administering medications for your beloved pets. Dog-sitting in New York helped me improve my dog-sitting with those of all sizes and breeds. It has also expanded my skills of caring for dogs with separation anxiety, reluctance to walk, and strong pullers. I am patient with and love every kind of dog, and I am excited to work with you and yours!
Reviews
Christina is an amazing sitter- she does a great job with Jasper and our ever-changing schedule! Highly recommend.
Really appreciated having Christina keep my dog Carmen company while I was gone for a few days. She was communicative with photo updates and text messages the whole time, I could tell Carmen was having a great time hanging with Christina. Already booked her again for next weekend when I go out of town again. :)
Christina was great. She left the place cleaner than when she started, was prompt and flexible, started teaching Charlie to sit and lay down and took her for a nice long walk. Will use her again.
Awesome! Communicative with me and loving and caring towards Charlie! Would definitely work with
About Christina P.
Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
When meeting a dog for the first time, I make sure to foster trust by approaching slowly, from the side, and without any quick movements. I understand dogs may be wary of strangers in their home, so I am careful to read their body language as I interact with them first. This helps them feel more comfortable and trusting of me, so that I can provide the beat care for them!
Information Christina P. would like to know about your pet
Before sitting the dog, I would like to know how much the dog licks, jumps, and barks. I would also like to know how the dog interacts with other dogs, animals, people, cars, and skateboarders.
A typical day
I love going on walks with dogs and exploring new parts of the city with them. I would also bring them to a dog park if they are friendly with other dogs and people. I can also stay inside and play on a rainy day.
