Pet care experience
I’ve been walking dogs since I was 5, when I realized that I love dogs. Since then, especially during college, I would walk and pet sit on the side while having a full course load not really for the money, but because having dogs around really does make me happy. I’ve walked all types of dogs and dog sat puppies, adults and older dogs (still pups to me!). I am able to administer medication if needed and I do have fun trying to train puppies if you request it! My Lab fur baby recently passed away, but he provided me with a lot of great pet care experience.

Christina has been instrumental in helping me with the dogs I have sat in the past by providing love and care while I was at work. She is friendly and accommodating for dogs of any size. If I had my own puppy, Christina would be the first on my list to ask to watch them!

I live in an apartment in Shadyside! I love this area because of how much is nearby and all of the green space. There are also dog parks, regular parks and many dog friendly places walking distance from my home. Being a pretty active person, I’m used to being outside with my dog a lot and would love to have your dog be part of my outdoor adventures. My apartment is a 1 bedroom and I pretty much let any pup climb on whatever they want while I’m around. If I know I will be gone for more than an hour, I usually put a puppy gate up in the kitchen and close my bedroom door and let the dogs roam in the living room. I have a puppy cam too so I can check in and make sure everything is ok while I’m away!

A typical day
I think it’s important to stimulate dogs physically and mentally. We will be outside often exploring the neighborhood and a nearby parks and there are plenty of toys for your dog to play with inside (my dog does not mind sharing). And, of course, there will be plenty of time to rest on the couch in some blankets.

Availability
I am currently a full time PA student in the middle of clinical rotations, but I am able to leave midday for lunch breaks and am also able to be home by 4. I’m home all day on the weekends and for the holidays too! If you need anyone to watch your loved ones during thanksgiving or Christmas time, I’m your girl!
