My name is Christina and I am the owner of a local pet walking, sitting, and pet hair removal company here in Portland and I'm partnering with Rover to provide to you safe and insured overnight stays and dog walks for your hounds. I cater to dogs of all types, and am looking to build long-term and meaningful relationships with you and your beloved pets. My walking service is ideal for the family who is not home throughout the day Monday-Friday, and does not have the time to come home to let their dogs out for a nice potty break, or just to give a few hugs and kisses. No, we do not charge extra for hugs and kisses! Overnight stays are $45 a night at my home, and your dog will be given the freedom to roam the backyard with full supervision and sleep wherever he or she chooses at night. I tell my clients, "Your rules for your dog are my rules for your dog." Walks are $20 per 30 minute walk M-F within 10 miles of zip code 97206. You and your furry children will get: 1.) A daily visit Monday-Friday for up to 2 dogs for 30 minutes, with that time to be used however you choose! 2.) Catered service that meets the needs of moms and dads who work the 9-5. Night walks possible upon request. 3.) Insured and trained dog walker to walk up to 2 of your dogs daily. That's right, no additional charge if you have a second dog! About this sitter: I am a nature lover and animal/dog enthusiast. When I'm not hanging out with your canine babies, I am helping out on a friend's farm, taking long hikes with my hound, doing some gardening, or volunteering with PAW Portland. I am definitely a people person, but the joy and challenges our canine companions bring me is not only what I want to focus my career on, it's what I have the most passion towards. I believe a person is changed forever after having a dog. I have been dog sitting for the last 5 years and found that I am destined to make providing dog care my profession! Note from the professionals: All dogs behave differently in various circumstances and especially when their owners are not present. I know how to handle these changes in behavior! Why I love dog sitting My love for dogs began with my family rescuing our Dalmatian Spot from an abusive owner. After Spot, came many more adopted dogs and rescues in the San Diego area, where I grew up. In my adult life I moved to Portland and rescued my own dog and began dog sitting and dog walking for friends and clients in the Portland area, I can't see myself doing anything else! I am also a volunteer for PAW Portland, working in the free clinics for homeless dogs and their owners.
