Hello! My name is Christina and I am the owner of a local pet walking and pet hair removal company here in Portland and I'm partnering with Rover to provide to you safe and insured dog walks for your hounds. We cater to dogs of all types, and are looking to build long-term and meaningful relationships with you and your beloved pets. This service is ideal for the family who is not home throughout the day Monday-Friday, and does not have the time to come home to let their dogs out for a nice potty break, or just to give a few hugs and kisses. No, we do not charge extra for hugs and kisses!
For $85 per week Monday-Friday (just $17 per day), you and your furry children will get:
1.) A daily visit Monday-Friday for up to 2 dogs for 20 minutes, with that time to be used however you choose!
2.) 1 weekly pet hair and dirt removal from the same individual who will walk your dogs after the cleaning! This includes a floor and furniture vacuum, and a dusting to remove pet residue, or, "Pet Ick" as we call it.
3.) Catered service that meets the needs of moms and dads who work the 9-5. Night walks possible upon request.
4.) Insured and trained dog walkers to walk up to 2 of your dogs daily. That's right, no additional charge if you have a second dog!
About this sitter:
I am a nature lover and animal/dog enthusiast. When I'm not hanging out with your canine babies, I am helping out on a friend's farm, taking long hikes with my hound, doing some gardening, or volunteering with PAW Portland. I am definitely a people person, but the joy and challenges our canine companions bring me is not only what I want to focus my career on, it's what I have the most passion towards. I believe a person is changed forever after having a dog.
I have been dog sitting for the last 5 years and found that I am destined to make providing dog care my profession! I have recently turned to dog walking rather than hosting dogs because I have listened to the needs of my clients very carefully. Many have said, "I can't put my dog in doggie daycare as fights break out too much." I have been told "My dog prefers to be at home on the couch because he is older and grumpy around other energetic dogs." With these being said, a dog still needs a potty break and some love!
Note from the professionals: All dogs behave differently in various circumstances and especially when their owners are not present. We know how to handle these changes in behavior!
My love for dogs began with my family rescuing our Dalmatian Spot from an abusive owner. After Spot, came many more adopted dogs and rescues in the San Diego area, where I grew up. In my adult life I moved to Portland and rescued my own dog and began dog sitting and dog walking for friends and clients in the Portland area, I can't see myself doing anything else! I am also a volunteer for PAW Portland, working in the free clinics for homeless dogs and their owners.
I welcome all breeds. Please be honest and upfront about special needs dogs including needs related to health, injuries, or temperament.
My service also includes a cleaning of your home to remove what I call "Pet Ick". This includes a sweep and mop, a vacuum of your carpets and furniture, and a dusting.
Your dog will receive at least a 20 minute walk/visit daily (M-F), for up to 2 dogs.
