Pet care experience
I’ve been around animals my entire life and have been a proud “owner” of rescued pups since I was 2 years old. Being a dog mom to rescues has given me a perspective about animals that is hard to come by; I’m patient and respectful with them, understand their language, and show them unconditional love. I’ve been pet sitting for the past 9 years and love meeting new people and their pets through it. I understand that leaving your fur baby behind for those mid-week business trips or weekend getaways can be stressful for pets and their owner’s, so I do my best to ease that discomfort with updates for mom/dad throughout the day and an extra treat here and there or with walks or trips to the family’s favorite dog park with the pup! Currently my husband and I have a sweet 3 year old cat that we adopted when he was 8 weeks old. It’s been so fun watching him grow into his body and personality. Playing and cuddling with him is one of my favorite past times!

I love any and all dogs and kitties; breeds preferences do not exist! I think it’s important for good communication to exist between an owner and sitter, and find that a lot of questions are answered with walk through appointments/meet and greets before your time away begins. Main points I like to always know include any sort of medications or special needs the pet has, any sort of schedules the family typically has in place with their pet, and favorite “treats” and activities.
A typical day
Exercise, mental stimulation, and play time are important for dogs and cats! I enjoy taking dogs to parks or for walks/hikes, and have no problem going toe to toe for a good old fashioned game of tug or fetch! Whatever your pups preferred activity is, I’ll do my best to play along and on any schedule that might be currently in place!

I do have a full time job outside of pet sitting, but I will always be sure to come back every 2-4 hours for potty breaks and check-ins!
