Animal Lover Inside & Out

Pet care experience

My love for animals has always ran deep as long as I can remember. We had various pets growing up, but picking a favorite would be impossible. They all brought their own little special memories, no matter how short a time they stayed. The longest was my dog Toby, a beagle-basset hound mix, that my grandpa got for me and my siblings when I was 12. After my parents divorced, he stayed with my dad and brother until I was 18. Since then, I have worked for a number of families caring for different types of dogs and cats, both in my home and in theirs. I've taken care of elderly pets who needed special care, as well as high energy jumping beans whose concept of "sit" only lasts a few seconds. I've walked dogs whose sizes vary from being bigger than me to smaller than my foot. As far as my own pets now, I have a short hair cat, Leroy, who is by my side every moment he can get. He's one of the sweetest cats you'll ever meet and has never given any issues. I can offer a cozy house, large fenced in yard, and an animal loving family that hopes to one day have a dog of their own to be a buddy to Leroy. Me, my husband and two girls always stop at pet shops to give love to the puppies and really do our research before taking on that commitment. I understand a dog or a cat is more than a pet, it's a best friend, a confidante, or even a saving grace. I know our warmth as a family will not only put your mind at ease in knowing who's caring for your furry family member, but also your pet's mind.

Christina is such a great sitter! We’ve used her a few times now and she’s reliably punctual, communicative, and caring. Highly recommend!

Wow, Christina was an amazing sitter! She was at our homestead for a week and watched our puppy and backyard ducks. She went above and beyond dealing with a few things that came up: water bowl freezing, an important FedEx package that got delayed, and our dog pouncing on a garden mole! We got 3 daily updates each day like clockwork and came back to a spotless house and very happy animals! We’re so glad we found Christina and she’ll definitely be our go-to whenever we need someone!

15/10 I HIGHLY recommend Christina!! I'm a nervous dog mom and I know it. Christina sent pics and updates and I didn't worry about my doggo at all! I missed her terribly, but knew she was in great hands! When I got home, my doggo greeted me, but sat next to Christina as we were chatting. I know she felt safe and loved while I was away and that's what really matters. I'm definitely going to be booking Christina again!!!

If you're looking for boarding or daycare, my home is full of warmth and love and my husband and kids treat ever animal as if they're part of our family. We have a fenced in yard to play in and a comfy couch to watch movies and come down for the night. My husband is active in playing with the animals, while my daughters and I love cuddling and babying them. My cat, Leroy, is incredibly sweet and has been around other animals without issue, often seen wanting to be friends but keeping a distance first to make sure everyone is comfortable. If you'd like housesitting with your pet, I take it extra seriously. Not only are you entrusting me with your pet, but also your home, and everything I do is to make sure you are comfortable knowing both are taken care of. I don't take the responsibility lightly and I am sure every home I sit is left the same if not better than when I arrived. I am also Pet Care Insured so in the event something were to happen, rest assured it will cared for. You'll get a picture every day of your pet with a little title of the main mood of the day ("indoor snuggle day," "a great outdoorsy day," etc). You'll be notified with any issue, big or small, and kept up to date on changes should there be a problem (I have watched sick dogs before and kept owners in the loop with changes in poop patterns and the like). All in all, your pet will be loved and cherished throughout their watch. *Please note- if you are in need of housesitting for an extra care pet (i.e. high medical needs, cannot be left for more than an hour, needs constant supervision, elderly accommodation), the fee for housesitting that individual pet will be doubled to compensate for time in round the clock extra care and loss of additional work, as I make these clients top priority and do not take on any other clients during the sitting dates. Drop-ins and walks are treated as a fun visit from a friend to your pet. Whether we're walking the neighborhood or hanging out in the living room, your pet will have the physical and mental exercise they need to calm their energy through the day. Approved treats will be given and they'll be cleaned up after and NEVER off-leash.

Information Christina G. would like to know about your pet

I need to know whether the dog is trained or aggressive, and if they have had any problems around other animals or children. I have two kids and a cat, and they are the most important to me. I also need to know if your pet has a special diet (cooked food, certain habits of eating, etc) and if they tend to have separation anxiety. *If they need round the clock care (i.e. high medical needs, elderly accommodation, or young untrained puppies), the fee will be doubled for that individual pet to compensate for time and loss of additional work, as I take these clients very seriously and do not take on any clients during the sit so extra needs pets can be properly cared for.

A typical day

We're a very playful but relaxed family. Playing fetch or walking around the neighborhood would be something we'd do for fun and exercise. Our backyard has ample room to let out energy as well. There's also a playground near by we go to with my daughters and taking nice trips in the car to dog friendly places has been something we have thought about doing.

I am a freelancer and make my own hours so my schedule is pretty open to your needs. My husband and I do independent filmmaking and create our own as-needed routine as well that fluctuates depending on the project. Usually, we have things scheduled months in advance so preparations can be made if needed, but more often than not, our routines are pretty open to changing if necessary. My girls are old enough (12 and 15) and ultra independent so I am not worried if I need to drop out to care for another pet; they even lend me a hand time to time with the smaller easy going dogs.
