Pet care experience
Hi there! I’m Christina, a PhD student living in Denver and attending CU Anschutz. I LOVE dogs though currently don't own any myself as I live in a small apartment where it is not ideal and I also already have two cats. It is for this reason that I also don't accept requests for dogs to stay with me in my home. That being said, I'm really missing having dogs in my life. For as long as I can remember, my family has always had dogs. I grew up with two female Akitas (in succession, not at the same time) who I helped care for and walk well into my adult years so I am very comfortable with large dogs and breeds that others have deemed “aggressive”. I have experience caring for dogs of a wide variety of sizes, breeds and ages and can manage dogs of any level of energy or need for affection. In addition to dogs, I have ample experience caring for cats, reptiles, fish, guinea pigs and mice. My partner also often accompanies me for many of my sits and is a fellow dog- and animal-lover! Christina is wonderful! She has been watching our dog for nearly a year now, and we always know he is in good hands when Christina is sitting. She gives us updates and always communicates with us. Can’t recommend her enough!
Christina did a great job of loving our babies!She was thoughtful about Covid procedures and wiped down everything before she left and brought all of her own dishes etc. She scheduled a meet and greet before we book so that she could make sure that it was a good fit and then our pets were comfortable with her before we left.
Christina was great with our dogs! We were very pleased . Gave us peace of mind. Highly recommend her.
Christina was outstanding! Thank you for taking care of our boy so lovingly while we were gone and for the regular check-ins/photos. He looked happier than usual when we were gone and it is obvious you guys spent some quality time together, which was really important to us and we are grateful for! and the house is in great shape! I prefer to watch pets in their own homes and strive to maintain their regular schedule and lifestyle as much as possible. I’m sure to give them extra love and attention and love to take and send pictures of them (I typically do this through text but am happy to send through Rover as well). My long-term partner also often will drop by while I’m there as he also LOVES animals. (I swear sometimes dogs seem to like him even more than they like me!) If you’re uncomfortable with this, please let me know ahead of time and don’t hesitate to ask questions or request that he attends the meet & greet as well.

It’s useful for me to know any specific needs or behaviors I need to be aware of so I can appropriately manage them. These can be things such as being afraid of loud noises/thunder/fireworks, if there’s certain areas of their body they don’t like to be touched or pet, if they’re “escape artists”, etc. I want to know anything that will help me make their time with me as comfortable as possible.
A typical day
I really enjoy walking dogs, especially at parks. I'm more than happy to cuddle and sleep with your pup but also understand and respect that some dogs prefer their space. I have no objections to running and rolling around and playing tug of war with dogs of any size.

I do have class and work during the weekdays, so my availability during that time is flexible but limited (i.e., I could leave for 30-60 mins once a day or so).
