Medically Trained former Vet Tech

Pet care experience

I worked at an animal hospital for 5 years as a technician. I assisted in every aspect of care, including surgery, pharmacology, nutrition, wound care, and behavior. At our small clinic, we were taught how to work alone with many different temperaments and how to safely navigate anxious dogs. As a part of my training, our hospital was also Fear Free Accreditied, meaning that I was trained specifically on how to reduce fear and stress in scary environments. I believe most animals are not aggressive, only afraid and need patience.

Christina did an amazing job watching my large dog and was very responsive with sending pictures. She also comforted him and made sure he ate which he doesn’t like to do when we leave on trips so that was amazing!

Christina is an amazing animal person. She has gone above and beyond for us on more than a few occasions. When one of our cats became I’ll and we couldn’t find a vet to get us in, she made a few recommendations and we were into one that day. I wish we could bring her with us but moved out of the area.

Christina has been amazing with our cat. Her flexibility with scheduling when our cat needed some extra visits was so greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking such great care of him!

Phenomenal! I am in a situation where I'm starting to give fluids to my cat at home. My cat is a Tortie, so she is sassy and fights back on the process of being stuck for fluids. I gave up and called the vet, they couldn't get me in for a few days due to the weekend, but my cat needed the fluids now. Christina was able to come the day after I contacted her to help me. She was great! Very kind, easy to get along with. I felt at ease with her and she was very knowledgeable due to her experience as a vet tech. We got the needle in my cat and she got her fluids, Christina was a lifesaver!

I always stick to feeding times and walks. This helps keep the anxiety level down as the schedule has not been interrupted. I offer full medical services as well as long as you do not need to be licensed by the state to perform it. I can do procedures such as bandage changes, nail trims, subcutaneous injections/fluids, IV fluid maintenance as long as an IV catheter is present, mat shaving (definitely not a groomer), ear/eye medications and medicated baths. For special circumstances, please message me.

Information Christina C. would like to know about your pet

It is important to know the temperament of your pet, as well as where they will be when I get there (out or in a crate). Also I will need to know any physical limitations.

A typical day

I am very good at training for tricks and walking so small treats are great! Whether it is light jogging around the neighborhood or a very thorough walk to sniff every tree, we'll have a great time!
