Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs and always jump at the opportunity to take care of animals. Many winters I work with sled dogs as a musher and handler. I have experience caring for very active dogs, elderly retirees, and even in training young puppies using positive reinforcement and love. I have a particular soft spot for older dogs in their golden years. My mushing background has given me confidence in canine first aid, pet massage, administering medication and vaccines. I also am very active and love to tire out athletic pups! I grew up with goldens and recently cared for my tripawd with early onset bone cancer. At the moment I don't have my own pet, so I look forward to showering yours with love!

Christina just went to the top of my list for pet sitters. She was not intimidated by an older, quite quirky dog - in fact, it seemed like her specialty. Communication with Christina was clear and prompt, and pick up and drop off were a breeze. She sent me multiple pictures all of which showed a very comfortable and relaxed dog. I would have no hesitations recommending Christina or leaving my pup with her again.
Christina took my dog for an awesome hike with a dog-friend. He was very happy and didn't want to leave when I picked him up. Christina forwarded me some great pictures while I was gone of my dog and his new pal. I would definitely use her as sitter and recommend her to anyone.
Christina was great, made drop off and pick up easy. Checked in with me to let me know things were going well, and you could tell my pup loved her. Would recommend!
Christina was amazing with our two quirky mutts. After meeting her for five minutes, we knew our two fur-kids were in the best hands possible. Our usually shy pups warmed right up to her and were begging for pets, which never happens! She is knowledgable and comfortable administering medicine and medical care. One of our pups had a fresh deep cut with staples and stitches. Christina handled it with ease. On top of that, She's a great communicator - we loved all the photos and updates. We'd recommend her x100, just not when we need her help! :-)

I love on a property with a huge backyard next to a big park for running and playing! We are located south of town, in a quiet area. If your dog enjoys company, we have some very sweet and playful neighbor dogs, but if your pet is more of a loner, they will not be harassed! I have one very loving housemate and both of us are active and go on at least one walk or run each day- we love to have a dog with us : )

A typical day
I love hiking and trail running! I don't mind having a wet dog in my car so I'm always happy to bring a dog to the river or lake, the dog park if it's safe, and to play with other dogs if that is of interest to you! I'm very active but I also love to cozy down with a pet that enjoys restful time.

Availability
I'm a graduate student so I spend much of my time working from home, especially during Covid! I will be very respectful of best hygeine practices and taking every caution possible in this difficult time, and will do whatever it takes to make you feel comfortable! I also understand how difficult making plans is at the moment, so I'll be happy to adjust and offer as much flexibility as possible!
