Pet care experience
Experience w/Dogs: My family and I are dog lovers, and sadly recently lost our dog (a 12-year-old GSP). It's not time yet for another dog, but we love having dogs around! Rover seemed like the perfect fit during this time. In my youth, I participated in K-9 4-H and enjoyed participating in shows with my German Shepard. I volunteered at humane societies during that time as well. Approach: +Dog walking/ running/ snuggling +Whether your dog wants to work their muscles on a fast hustle, stop and sniff the everything, or are recovering from past trauma and are not super comfy out in the world, I'm happy to meet your dog where they're at. It's my job as dog walker/sitter to keep them safe, give them time to stretch their legs, and, of course, to clean up after them. +It's important for me to build trust and make sure you and your dog/dogs know you can count on me. +As far as what we’ll do together, the options are limitless! A few of my favorite places to explore to are Mt. Tabor, Forest Park, and 1000 acres (if your dog is comfortable off leash and around other dogs). I am an avid runner and would be happy to hit the trails for those pups that need to really exert their energy, at the same time I’m just as content working with animals that want to cuddle up on the couch with a good book or knitting project; every pup’s needs will be accommodated. I'm happy to move at your dogs' individual pace. Flexibility/Availability: + Working from home provides me with a very flexible schedule. I am available for dog sitting in my home and walks or drop-ins through the week. + When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It’s a great way to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your pup and your care expectations.
Reviews
Kinda hate to give Christina a good review for fear her calendar will fill up with other dogs, but I cannot tell a lie. Christina and her children were a perfect 2nd family to our 11-yr old keeshond Max for doggie day care for the two weeks I was on vacation and the days my husband was at work. Christina was very attentive to Max's needs as an older dog. And was very accommodating to Max's desire to dig holes under her bushes for his naps. Max was excited to see them every day he was dropped off. Thank you, Christina and family !!
Archie has had several day visits with Christina and just had his first overnight there. Everything has always gone smoothly and we cannot say enough good things about her! Archie seems totally happy and content with Christina and her son. He's always delighted to get there and clearly enjoys every stay. We feel so very fortunate to have found such a great sitter for our pup! Five stars plus some!!
Archie spent what we hope will be the first of many days with Christina yesterday and must have had a wonderful time, because he was so exhausted when he got home he barely moved until this morning! Christina is warm and friendly and clearly a dog lover and we could tell Arch was comfortable with her at first meeting. She took him for a run and to the park and he played with her and her son in their yard for some time. We got happy photos and reports, and brought home a happy pup -- what more could we want?!
Christina was amazing! Brie loved her stay and we felt very comfortable while we were out of town leaving our dog with her! We would definitely use her again!
