Diverse background in animal care
Pet care experience
I cannot remember a time in my life where I was nothing less than overjoyed by the sight of an animal. When I was a child, I used to love visiting adoption fairs at pet stores just to keep the dogs and puppies company. I also used to drive my mother nuts by bringing home new family members. I developed an interest in horses (again at a young age) that I pursued for a short while by visiting a friend's ranch periodically to exercise and lightly groom her pinto horse, Piyoot, and have always loved friends of the farm (chickens make great pets). I have experience with both rescue animals and the breeding of show dogs. I find both sides of the world of dogs interesting and compelling. My family fostered for Lab Rescue for a while, which gave me lots of valuable experience in socializing dogs (although labs are generally well-tempered as a breed, save for special or extreme circumstances) and exposed me to a rainbow of beautiful personalities, which I loved. My aunt has always been a show dog enthusiast and our shared passion for animals catalyzed my interest and investigation of many different dog breeds and the world of show dogs at a young age. I have extensive experience with dog/pet sitting. Growing up I was (and still am) the person all of my family members and friends trusted to care for their animals while vacationing; this translated into a fun way for me to make extra money while still being able to have a regular schedule at college. I myself have two canine companions and have owned dogs all my life. Additionally I have four cats and a crested gecko. My family has also fostered labradors for Lab Rescue. I also have experience with special needs animals, administering medication, show animals, reptiles and cats. I'm great with plants too! I believe that all animals should be treated with extreme respect because they are living creatures just like us. I will always be a strong advocate for animals. Someday I hope to run my own shelter for just about any kind of creature in need. I think my enthusiasm for all animals originates from the effortlessness I feel when I communicate with them.
Reviews
Christina was awesome! Very flexible, did a last minute drop in visit for me. Very friendly, and paid attention to detail.
Christina is always wonderful with our dog, a senior miniature poodle who loves Christina very much! If you want someone who obviously loves dogs, cats and all animals for that matter, Christina should be your choice! She is reliable, responsible and is truly sincere, caring and compassionate. I think for all of us, our dogs and pets are our family and I wouldn't trust our dog with anyone else.
When it comes to trusting anyone with the care my three babies (two miniature pinchers and a Brussels Griffon) Christina has proven time and time again to be the one to call. Christina's love for animals and her vast knowledge of animal behavior makes her especially reliable. Not only is Christina trustworthy and responsible, she is a very kind hearted person who truly cares about the wellbeing of all animals. I highly recommend Christina for the special care of all your animal family members. There isn't anyone I trust more.
