Our home is full of love and warmth. We have plenty of things and people to snuggle with from blankets to dog beds. Our Pug-Australian Shepherd mix, Sampson, loves to make friends with new dogs. We have been caring for Sampson and other dog-friends for several years and we love to provide a comfortable second home for all that enter. Please let me know if your dog has any special needs and I would be happy to work with you. I share a home with my husband, Marcus, and children who all love dogs as well and help with dog-care responsibilities. I MAY BE A GOOD FIT IF: -your dog likes playing; especially in a huge yard -loves family life including children -you want good communication throughout the stay I MAY NOT BE A GOOD FIT IF: -your dog needs to sleep in my bed (I do allow dogs to sleep with the kids though) -your dog cannot be left alone for 2-3 hours -your dog is destructive Drop off and pick up times must be between 8am and 10pm unless extenuating circumstances and working around school drop off and pick up times. I'm a homemaker and come and go throughout the day. I run errands such as dropping kids off at school or going to the store, and leave each dog in a separate room (and their kennel if you bring it) for their protection while gone to ensure they do not get into anything they shouldn't be while I am away. (If damages occur it will be your responsibility to pay for cost of repairs.) If your dog can not be left alone for 2-3 hours I may not be the right fit for you. We have a large about 2.5 acre yard. Half is for our goats and chickens and the other half is for my kids and dogs! There is plenty of room to play and run around. Dogs are not allowed on our bed and if your dog needs to sleep in your bed with you we may not be the best fit. But I do let dogs sleep with the kids. Please bring anything you feel your dog can't live without while they stay with us. We do give treats and have play time. If your dog is used to a kennel please bring it as well as dog food and bowls and leash. I recommend bringing at least one night extra of food just in case extension is needed. We love dogs and know your dog will feel that love while they are here! I am home most of the time but carry out the responsibilities of homemaking and motherhood which requires that I run errands throughout the day. Dogs are kept in separate rooms while I am away to ensure safety from getting into household things. Please bring a kennel/crate if you use one in your home.
