I treat every dog that comes into my care like my own. I have rescued dogs and helped dogs through dog aggression before. I fostered a 7 month old lab mix and trained her using positive reinforcement for months. She is now a perfectly behaved companion to a personal friend of mine. She can walk off leash without difficulty and behaves well in every situation presented to her. I went on to foster a 2 year old lab/shar pei mix with dog aggression. We trained in basic commands and behavior modification for a month and a half before taking a trip to meet a pitbull named Mara who she is now best friends with. We will continue to work together until she reaches the point of no reactivity to any dogs, familiar or not. I understand the amount of patience required to care for a difficult dog and have an abundance of it. I don't take anything personally, especially from dogs, and am not bothered by a little acting up. I am confident in my ability to safely handle most dogs and would never put my own desires before the needs of a dog.
