I believe the key to a happy and healthy dog is by staying engaged and being nurturing. I've been a huge dog lover since I was a kid—our first dog was a chocolate lab—and ever since then I've been the go-to dog watcher for my sister's dog and some of my other friends' dogs, both big and small. I get a strong sense of gratification and empathy when I know my furry friends are happy when I'm around them. Around 20 percent of the accounts I follow on Instagram are dog-related—some of my favorites are Harlow and Sage and Charlie B Sausage—so even though I take care of my sister's dog most days (we live together), the obsession still runs deep. I'm pretty enamored with dachshunds, corgis, and goldens, but I love spending time with any breed.
