Currently in a program to become a Canine Behavior Consultant. Will complete training in early to mid 2024. Please note: Due to my dog's age, I'm not able to walk her more than about 10-12 blocks for meet and greets. As a certified trauma recovery professional, I help women survivors of abuse, assault and childhood neglect find their inner superhero and meet Their Person. My coaching work makes me especially attuned to your pup's moods, helps me anticipate their needs, and provides me with techniques to help soothe them when triggered. Because of my trauma training, I'm excellent with pups that struggle with attachment issues, PTSD, anxiety and depression. (Yep, they're just like us!) I care for all dogs but have an affinity for special needs, seniors, and pups with disabilities. Have also cared for dogs very close to passing. My goal for every stay is to make sure they feel wanted and welcome. I live in a pet-friendly building with an elevator. Free 2-3 hr test sittings provided if Owner prefers before booking. I have 2.5 years walking/boarding experience for dogs 10 to 110 pounds of all ages. Very experienced with seniors & special needs pups. Have cared for pets with anxiety, seizures, cancer (stage 4 and still feisty as ever. Never give up!), hind leg weakness, heart murmurs, vision/hearing impairment, sensitive stomachs, hyperthyroidism & pancreatitis. I often care for 2 dogs at a time (most often seniors) as long as they are of similar temperaments, vaxxed, and Ive personally vetted or cared for the dogs previously. Owners will be informed of this before booking. I maintain a quiet and calm environment with low lighting and ambient/classical music. I also have extra beds, bowls, blankets and toys.
