They call me the dog's best friend.

Pet care experience

I've owned a poodle terrier for 16 years and treated her like my baby before she passed away this summer. I would always be there to feed her, keep her water bowl filled, and take her on walks to the park and go for a run. I would also play with her by throwing her favorite toy around and play a stare down contest that she absolutely loved! I'm available mostly weekend mornings and afternoons as well as Tues/Thurs. afternoons. I've also had experience dog sitting for bigger dogs for friends and family such as golden retrievers. I also work at Lazy Dog so I'm always around dogs in the patio making sure they have enough water to be filled and that there food comes out on time and allowing it to cool off so the dog doesn't burn its tongue. I absolutely am a big dog lover and care for them as if they were my own. I love keeping them happy and have their tail on wagging!

Chris is an excellent dog owner who loves being around dogs and providing for them at anytime anywhere. He has been the best dog owner to his amazing dog Roxy for the last 16 years keeping her healthy and strong. I highly recommend Chris for his loving dog personality and care for each dog as if they were his own.

I would trust Chris with pet-sitting anytime. He was the one responsible to ensure our pets were fed and hydrated! He’s also super playful with our pets and they love him for that. Amiable, affectionate, and responsible is how I can describe Chris! Thank you!

I’m Chris’ older brother. I know that I might be providing a bias opinion and I’m not sure if anyone actually reads this, but I have to give it a shot. With all honesty Chris is a great person and amazing with pets. Just recently (no more than a month ago) we had to put our family dog Roxy down after 17 Long and happy years. This was a sad time for me and my family. This hurt Chris the most. Since he could remember he has always had Roxy besides him. For the last 7 years Chris has been the main caretaker for Roxy. He would wake up in the morning feed her, walk her, brush her, and bathe her when needed. Towards the last couple of years he guided her when she later developed a tumor that left her deaf and eventually developed cancer. I watched him make sure she had the proper medication and he made sure she was always happy and healthy along the way. I truly believe it was solely because of the love and care that Chris provided that she was able to outlive all of our expectations. Roxy was a happy dog that loved every one of us until her last day on earth and I’m thankful that Chris was around to be there for her. I personally think that Chris would be an amazing asset to come and work for Rover. I think this would be a great opportunity for him while he is in school and pursuing his dreams. Please let my brother share that same love and passion that he gave Roxy with the amazing dogs on Rover. Thank you and god bless!

Information Chris V. would like to know about your pet

I don't really have a breed preference. A couple things I would want to know about the dog is how they usually react, how much food would they normally give their dog, and if the dog needs any medication or special attention.

A typical day

I will take the dogs to the local park or even on a hike trail nearby. I would make sure to keep on a leash and close by as we go running around the grassy area. I would also make sure to let your dog rest under the shade of a tree if he/she looks tired. I would bring a dog bowl to fill with water for the dog and bring doggy bags with me. Me and the dog would also go play fetch or play tug of war with one of their toys. (I would always let them win- most of the time).
