Pet care experience

We are experienced and current pet parents and have been hosting Rover guest since March of 2022. It has been a wonderful experience for us and our nearly one year old dog, Clover and has been met with scornful eye from our 11yr old outdoor/indoor cat, Piper. Clover attends day care where they are able to freely include her in any of the groups without issues. She has done well with our Rover guest and adjusting to their temperament. Some guest they wrestle all day and others they sort of mind their own business. We do like a long morning walk to start the day but happy to meet your pups energy level. Our cat does spend more time inside as it gets colder. Please keep that in mind as we enter the fall and winter. By end of November she’s mostly inside. We do have a cat door to the basement for her if she wants to be left alone and she’s pretty savvy but she will take a swipe at a dog. We are lucky enough to be a 5 minute walk to the Paradise Park trail system in town. Our backyard is fenced in and large enough to play fetch and has a deck and patio if they enjoy laying out in the sun. Our dog tends to spend her time outback working their latest excavation project. She also is a fan of chase and figuring out fetch. If your pup enjoys the water we have access to the CT River from our fenced in backyard. While we have spare check cords for the river, we do NOT have a spare life vest for your dog.

Our dog, Fidget, had an amazing weekend with Chris, Sadie and Clover! He received plenty of play time and cuddles and didn’t even miss home. Would highly recommend (:

Chris and Sadie took such good care of our dog! He was so happy with them and can't home happy and tired from a great day of playing with their dog. We'll be using them again!

Great hosts! Very quick to respond and just good people! I felt very comfortable leaving my pup there and I could tell my dog had a blast with the other dogs there. Would absolutely recommend their services!

Chris & Sadie are incredibly kind, thoughtful, and flexible. We did a meet and greet at a trail near their place. Their puppy is the cutest thing ever. I prefer leaving my dog with other dog owners who have a puppy, because I know that will give my own dog more exercise, so that was perfect. Everything went wonderfully, and my dog was super comfortable with them (which is not the normal for her!). I accidentally dropped my dog off a day early but they were super flexible and accommodated me and I forgot to tell them about my dog’s odd fear of and reaction to bubble wrap, but they figured it out and handled it well. I would 100% book again with them if I wasn’t moving away in a month. Thank you both! I appreciate it!

We do not leave Rover guest unattended when in our care. We are a child free household with a fenced in yard. Our Rover guest are welcome on the furniture and to sleep where they please. Our dog does sleep in the bed and readily uses the furniture. We do have a large and small crate if prefer for sleeping and would followk km furniture limits if requested. When outside and not in our fenced in yard we keep our dog on leash at all times and would do the same for your dog. Always worried about coming across a skunk or porcupine when out on the trails.
