For our K9 Explorers!

Pet care experience

Walking my dog Spirit as a kid was the start of my love for all dogs now. I've always enjoyed nature and having a dog with me makes it even better! Because I've moved a lot, and lived in many climates and environments, I've become very comfortable leading a dog or even a small pack on adventures that most people wouldn't try. And for most dogs, even a jaunt around the block is exciting enough. While I would love to take your pup on an adventure, I'm acutely aware of their safety and well being at all times. I have experience with old and disabled dogs and am happy to care for yours as well. As much as I enjoy a tiring hike, I also like taking my time with the older pups on an easier walk.

Chris is amazing! Truly went above and beyond for our boy Prince Rodger. Chris was super cool with him, despite Prince’s more unruly tendencies, and they became best friends! He gave him lots of attention, walks, snacks and love. He also sent us daily photos since he knew we were really missing our lil bud. Chris was absolutely wonderful and we can’t wait to have him back! Highly recommended.

Chris watched our two dogs and cat for a week while we were out of town for Christmas. We got multiple updates and pics throughout the day as he took them out for walks in the snow, he’s so good with them. Chris even bought/wrapped presents for the doggos and for US ❤️. We are truly spoiled, you’d be lucky to have him care for your pets cause he really does care.

Chris is so kind and patient with our nervous dogs. He goes out of his way to be available and attentive to our 2 dogs and 1 cat. He's very self-sufficient and left the house extremely tidy.

Chris was excellent. As it was our first time working with him and using Rover, he met with us and our pets before hand to go over things. During the stay he sent us pictures and check-ins. I was so grateful for his care of Tuna and Lucca.

Information Chris S. would like to know about your pet

Are there any immediate health issues I should be prepared for? I'm experienced with many behavioral quirks but is your dog aggressive towards anyone/thing? I also have experience administering many topical and oral medications and am more than happy to help. I love to play with big dogs and have a soft spot for little pups too, but I'd have to say my favorite breeds are Pitties and GSDs. I'm very comfortable handling them and would love to meet yours!

A typical day

On a walk, if there are any spots or routes that you like to follow, I'm happy sticking with that, but most of the time I try to mix it up and give the pups some variety. I like to let them follow their noses while I subtly lead direction. During a stay, we could go on a hike or to a park to socialize with other dogs, or stay closer to your home if that's easier for your dog. Fetch, tug of war and wrestling are all fair game! I encourage mental stimulation, movement and regular potty breaks, as well as walks before bed time.
