My wife and I have decided to sign up on Rover because our dog, Cutty, loves to spend time with other dogs. He loves to play, and we love it when he is tired because he's a bit of a handful if we do not have him expend any energy. I have the option to work from home, and my wife works less than a mile from our condo, so she is able to frequently check-in on our dog, Cutty. Cutty is like our child, so we spoil him as much as we can. You can expect that we would do the same for your hairy friend. Playtime, the dog park, walks, treats (or not, if you prefer) are all on the agenda. My wife and I both grew up having dogs in our households, so we both have long-running experience caring for pets. Further, my grandfather bred beagles, and he would have up to thirty dogs at any given time. I learned a lot of what I know about dogs while watching him interact with his dogs and playing with them every chance that I got. My wife and I will be the only people in the house while your dog is staying with us, and we do not yet have any children. As I previously mentioned, I have the flexibility to work from home, and I almost always do so on Fridays, unless a work emergency comes up, but that scenario is rare. Generally, my wife comes home at lunch to check on our dog and take him out for a brief walk. In the evenings, we generally try to get out for a walk along the Katy Trail to get some of Cutty's energy out. We live in a condo near West Village and the Katy Trail, so there are plenty of safe places for walks. We have watched dogs for a few family friends, and we have found that we have ample space for ourselves, Cutty, and the visiting pooch.
