Pet care experience
I've had pets (dogs & cats) for most of my life. I fostered 6 dogs over 2 years before adopting my dog, Blue. I chose to adopt him because he wasn't "easy" & I was worried that he'd be a likely candidate for an adoption return. He's deaf, and highly reactive on leash. He also had pretty severe septation anxiety, but that has eased up over the years. I understand what it means to care for a dog that has special needs and don't take the responsibility of looking after your pet lightly. I'm happy to check in with you & send pictures and updates. I'm very diligent in following instructions, especially if medications are part of the equation or if they have tendencies that have to be taken into account.

This is was the first time we had a sitter who was not a friend or family watching our dog, Kensie, who has moderate/ severe separation anxiety. Firstly, Chris put us at ease by dropping in before the day of the house sitting to go through any requests and to meet Kensie. Secondly, when Chris walked in calmly, it was the first time I had ever seen Kensie meet a new person so calmly in her space. Chris was very respectful of our space and responsive on updates about Kensie. Definitely will book him to watch Kensie again!
My pup loves Chris! He come home happy after his hour walks. This was my first time trying rover and I’m so happy I did.
I had a last-minute family situation come up and I needed to find a dog-sitter quickly. I had never left my dog (Chase) with a dog-sitter (outside of family) before leaving Chase with Chris and I was worried about finding a dog-sitter that could handle Chase as he is very reactive towards other dogs. Chris did a great job with Chase and navigating away from other dogs when taking Chase out and for walks and Chris spent time simply hanging out with Chase. I recommend Chris and would hire him again.
Chris is an attentive, experienced, and knowledgeable dog person. He was loving, as well as held firm boundaries with our reactive, high energy dog. Chris is a fantastic choice for your next sitter. I know he will make sure your pet is truly cared for and you can vacation (etc) with ease.
