When you can enjoy your time away, you know you’ve found the right pet sitter! That’s my mission statement, and I continue to meet that objective with my clients. Gratitude is the word I choose — to describe the opportunity of caring for your fur family. I send daily pictures for your comfort and assurance. I also focus on detailed management of the home necessities while you’re away (I understand the importance). From the smaller, simple homes — to larger estates which require more tasks and attention to detail. I’ve been a animal lover since I was a child. My dad loved and trained golden retrievers in my early years. So I’ve always loved dogs and have rescued many cats as an adult, specifically Bengals and Savannah’s. I’m one of those people who stops to greet every pet I meet on the street. Simply because I cannot resist!

Chris recently cared for our Himalayan cat Beausoleil while we took a short trip to Las Vegas. We were concerned because Beau has an eye condition that requires eye drops twice daily and needs lots of personal attention since he is our only pet and thus is accustomed to being catered to. We were delighted that Chris and Beau immediately bonded and became good buddies! Chris sent us several photos and videos showing their relationship and relieving our anxiety. We highly recommend Chris for your pet/house sitting needs and look forward to future travel thanks to him!

I’m focused on how your pet is doing, perhaps even what your pet is trying to communicate, and what their needs are. I suppose you could say that I’ve developed my skills of intuition somewhat when it comes to animals (yes, I have been called the ‘dog whisperer’!). I enjoy reading over every detail of what the daily routine is. I take extra care to make them feel loved and cared for while you are gone. And that’s my mission — to give you the confidence and security you desire. This way you can simply enjoy your time away. There’s nothing like knowing your pet is being truly loved by a sitter while you’re away, and many of my clients feel like I’m family after my first stay. When you see your furry family members upon your return, you’ll know indeed that they were well cared for!

Please let me know all the challenges and patterns with your pet. No one animal is the same, and all animals have both their quirky and positive aspects. Please let me know everything, I won’t mind. And, it does us all good! It’s important for me to have specific information on medications, physical issues and any concerns.
A typical day
I firmly believe that a well exercised pet is a happy pet. Unless there’s physical limitations and medical needs, my philosophy is to get that fun/exercise time going first thing, and I always try to keep the same routine they’re used to, this is important. Whether it’s a walk on the beach, or their favorite dog park, getting out is tantamount. Dogs are like kids, they love their routine. To walk here or there at a certain time of the day, or to have a certain treat at the appropriate time. It’s a neuropathic, and habitual joy for them. It’s an easy way to make that ‘home-loving-feeling’ going with them while you’re gone.

My schedule is very flexible since I looked for other alternatives to the 9-5 lifestyle. I consider it a great honor to stay with your pets and give them the special love they deserve while you’re gone. I can’t think of a better win-win situation. Many people ask if I’ll be gone all day long. The answer is no. I’m there the majority of the time, and I enjoy being with the animals I care for.
