Pet care experience
Simply put, I love dogs. I'm sure plenty of the other Rover walkers and sitters do too (why else would we be doing this?). Beyond caring about dogs, I care about making the world a better place. Knowing that the people - and pets - we care about are being cared for, let's you relax. When you're calm and reassured, you move through life with a bit more kindness. If I can do what I love, and help the world love a bit more in return, then that is a dream job. Your family will love the care I provide because I'm attentive, active, and engaging. I've been working with dogs for over twenty years. I grew up with dogs. I had a pet care business in the Bay Area of California for the last 5 years. A lot of my friends say that my spirit animal is a dog. Dogs and I just click. The most important part of any relationship is communication. Open, honest dialogue is a primary part of what makes my service go above and beyond your average pet care provider. Before working together, we have an in-depth conversation to get to know you and your pet's needs. During a walk or sit, I send regular photo updates and notes for how we spent our time together. After time with your pup, I send a detailed review of what we did and how much fun we had.

Chris is great with the pups! Before I moved, he used to take my german shephard and terrier on walks, hikes and playful romps at the dogpark. He is also a great communicator with the humans which is an important plus. He's very considerate and will be sure to go the extra mile to be sure things are done just the way you like.
Chris cared for three of our dogs (house sitting and walking) over the course of three years, with dogs ranging in age from a senior lab to a Bernese mountain dog puppy. Chris was always reliable (NB we had an alarm system which logged entries/exits so we knew he was there when he said/we needed him to be), easy to schedule and work with, and we trusted him with our dogs and in our home (which was always left cleaner than we left it!). Large dogs can be difficult to handle but he had no problem walking multiple large dogs at a time. Moreover, he wasn't just competent in providing care but I truly believed he adored our dogs (we once came home to selfies of him with the dogs at the park!). The adoration was mutual - the pups could hardly contain themselves when Chris was in the area (literally in the area - once Chris was caring for a neighbor dog and when the pups saw his car they refused to go anywhere until they saw him!). We have recommended Chris to friends and neighbors - I hope that you will consider him for your pet care needs!

Information Chris E. would like to know about your pet
I love dogs of all breeds and all ages. There's so much to know about a dog before we can provide the most caring and effective service, so there are a lot of questions I ask ... How do they get along with people, dogs, other animals, and/or children? How old are they? How active can they be? What medications do they take? What commands does your family use? What's their feeding schedule? Do they have dog friends? What's their usual temperament? What are the rules of the house? You get the idea. It's my priority to provide loving, structured, and enjoyable care for your furry family member.
A typical day
What are your dog's favorite activities? We'll talk about these and I'll make sure that every day we're together, they're having the time of their lives. What I enjoy doing the most with pups is hiking, playing fetch and tag, giving scratches, cuddling while reading, and going on runs.
