Growing up I always loved animals and had several family pets. As an adult, my love for my four-legged family members only grew. While living in Oregon, we had no one to watch our dogs when we needed to travel and we didn't want to use a kennel. I found Rover and the wonderful couple who became our regular sitters. It gave us such great peace of mind knowing they were going to stay at their "vacation home" that it made travel easier. After moving back to Texas, we wanted to be able to give other families that same peace of mind in knowing their furry family members were being cared for in a loving home. We currently have three dogs (2 small, 1 medium) and 2 cats. All animals are fixed and adult. Their ages range from 3-6 years old. I have experience in all the stages of doggie care. I've raised a fur baby from 8 weeks old until he crossed the rainbow bridge at almost 15. I've done it all with our pups from crate training, potty training, dog training, medication, baths, nails, tooth brushing, etc. I've taken three dogs through dog training and can help reinforce skills you may be working on or maybe even teach a new one. There are two adults in the house that work varied schedules, including work from home options so there is almost always someone home with the pets. The current schedule for our pets includes twice a day feedings (morning and evening). Since there's almost always someone home, they have the ability to go out whenever they want. In the instance that we are away from home, it would never be more than 4-6 hours. We have various sizes of crates if needed. We have a fenced yard with lots of space to run. We have resident playmates who love playing with new friends. We also love snuggle time. You can almost always guarantee to find us each with a pup and/or kitty in our lap. Our pups and kitties also love snuggling with each other. Our cats and dogs get along great and are often found playing or snuggling together. Since our kitties are not afraid of doggies, they will come say hello and try to make a new friend. If your doggie is a cat hunter/chaser, our house will not be the best fit for them. I would hate to cause undo stress for either pet. We also take probably way too many pictures of our pets and can do the same for yours while they are in our care if you would like updates. I know we really enjoy seeing how ours are doing while were away. We will only have one family's pets in our house at a time. We want to be able to provide individualized care to your furbabies. If you have a kitty too, we would be happy to go to your house to care for them as well. If you need day care services, you can either leave them with us, or we can go to your house for a potty break or feeding.
