Grew up with an Old English, Yellow Lab, and mutt. After college, we rescued a retriever and she was with us for ~15 years. For now, we've decided to watch/sit/care for others' dogs instead of getting another dog. Each year we come close to getting our own again, but will make the step when we're ready. I walk multiple times a throughout the day to keep mobile and allow my mind to wander or dedicate focus. We'd walk to the park just a block away. The park is ideal for long range fetching and socializing with the other dogs (off leash). Hardwood floors throughout the house, so dogs typically enjoy sleeping on their own bed, blanket, or our padded kitchen mats when they stay with us. I haven't breed or size preferences, but do need compatibility between your dog and our family.
