Pet care experience

I have done dog walking in my past as well I've taken a pre vet tech program from New Market skills center just this last year, leaning all the anatomy of dogs and other animals and the basic task of what a Vet Technician would do in a vet clinic. As well as understanding animal behaviors! I worked at Carolyn's k-9 retreat for 7 months, learning how to deal with 20+ dogs through out the day. As well as handling chores while watching the dogs such as; Cleaning up after pups, keeping house and indoor dog area clean, prepping and feeding dogs for breakfast, lunch and dinner, handling incoming and outgoing clients.

I’ve delt with all sorts of behaviors with dogs and always just trying to keep me and the pup comfortable at all times! I’ve taken a course on dog behaviors and feel comfortable working with all!

Information Chloe T. would like to know about your pet

Some things that I find helpful to know about your dog ahead of time is what are some things they like and don't like? Example: Are they treat or toy motivated, do loud noises startle them, are they reactive. Remember reactive does not always mean aggressive it could mean they they get overly excited or nervous.

A typical day

Evergreen state college is one of my favorite places to walk, and I think your pup will love it too! There is so much to smell and interact with. Other things that I have learned that dogs really enjoy is puzzles, it one of my favorite thing to for a pup when they don't seem so interested in chasing a ball or going outside. Fun fact: 15 min of puzzle time is = to a 30 min walk!

I am currently working as a behavioral therapist Monday-Friday from 8am-2pm. But my schedule will be changing when the school year starts to full time hours. With my schedule unfortunately not as flexible as it used to be some hours for check-ins or dog walking may not be available. Thank you for understanding!
